I would always recommend this restaurant to everyone.Because it was the best in Monmouth county.The Tinga tacos used to be amazing… unfortunately, I noticed a slight decline every time I visited lately. My husband’s food has been lacking flavor and texture has not been the greatest. Unfortunately, I ordered last night and it was just not good at all. I don’t know what’s going on, do they have new kitchen staff? Did they lower the quality of ingredients? I’m actually not sure. Last night I ordered a chimichanga. I’ve never had one. And I was curious, so I ended up with a dry burrito. Nothing in it but the meat and a slab of cheddar cheese on top. It wasn’t fried, it was just a dry tortilla and my husband’s entree completely lacked their amazing flavor from the past, no heat no kick and dry

This is now la frontera. Not sure if same owner but it’s remodeled. This is hands down the best Mexican I’ve had in monouth county. Their sandwiches, tacos and enchiladas are unbelievable. My new favorite spot in red bank. Great quantity and pricing.

The food was absolutely delicious! I got Tacos al Pastor and my friends and I shared the Super Nachos con Bistec. The portions are huge and the taste is great. As the meat gets colder it does dry a bit though. Another criticism of mine would be that we did have to wait a while for the food to come, but considering the amount we ordered, that’s understandable.

This authentic Mexican fare, hole in the wall is wonderful! Some of the best chicken tacos I have ever had and the black bean soup was delicious! They offer an extensive menu including not only breakfast (even available late in the day for an additional fee) but a whole fish which, on the Friday night we visited, was being ordered again and again. Very reasonably priced and the service was fast. Many patrons were opting for take out, likely because seating is limited but the front cashier/hostess was cheerful and helpful, finding extra chairs in the back to accommodate us. We look forward to being repeat customers!

I went with my wife to try this tacos. I must say that the best thing is that they are authentic and I made me remember my home town. I order Lengua tacos (tong) and my wife Bistec. I loved the way they served the tacos, i know this is a small detail but it was nice. My tong tacos were delicious, is hard to find those around so once i saw them in the menu i didnt hesitated. My wife ordered Bistec and while i tried them and they were good, my wife mentioned they were a little greasy. For me they wasnt but the only thing is that they taste like Bistec + Chorizo, i mean i liked them but not sure if a person ordering just bistec is expecting that. We order Jamaica (hibicus) for beverage and it was really good. I also loved that they were selling Chips and Soda with Mexican Flavors. 4 stars are because of the Bistec tacos, and i would make it 4.5 but there is no .5

Just came here for the first time after school, got a cemita carnitas. So good I came back the next day. The food came out quick each visit. I highly recommend going, and I can’t wait to try more of their menu.
