Ordered pork Egg Fu Young. It appears to be frozen egg fu young eggs. They are cakey and over fried. Very dry. Tastes like flavorless cornbread. Much is prefrontal and slathered woth so much saice that you cant find the main f9od thru the sauce. Pord egg fu young should have vegetables and meat inside the eggs and then put into the wok.
I also ordered coconut shrimp. It was prefrozen tempura shrimp slathered with coconut creme and coconut shareddinss. It was awful too.
When you complain and do n9t eat the dish they dont take the charge off of your bill, they give a 10% discount. Very poor food and customer serivice. Just because they serve the retired community doesnt mean we like bad food.
The fried rice is lacking eggs and vegetables. Very poor quality

This place is amazing!! We’ve ordered take out here a handful of times and they have never disappointed. The picture attached is after 2 adults and 1 kid ate, huge portions every time, always tender chicken, lots of fresh veggies in every dish, the pot stickers are so good too! every dish comes with a side (rice or noodles) we love their noodles we get all 3 the pork, chicken and beef. They are priced very fairly for the amount of food you get. Very delicious and highly recommend.

I visited here for the first time this past week to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday. The food was very good, with big portion size, and at a great price. BUT what stood out the most was the way they celebrated my friend for her birthday. If the small felt birthday crown that lit up just wasn’t enough, they had a cute light up happy birthday sign all while the entire restaurant serenaded my friend. It was DELIGHTFUL!
Kudos on the special touch. Love it!

Happened to dine here today as Oscar’s is closed for the week. It’s been on my mind to try; so I came to have a late lunch. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and bright. I ordered water and a Sprite ($3.20) while looking at the menu. My selection was their Sweet & Sour Shrimp ($15.30) and for ($4.50) additional I added a cup of Egg Drop Soup and an Egg Roll. The soup arrived, and was quite good. A nice balance of broth with egg. As soon as I had finished the soup, the egg roll arrived. Hot, crispy, and quite good. It came with a small bowl of the neon red sweet & sour sauce. Not my ideal style of sauce. It’s more sweet than sour. Upon finishing the egg roll my entree arrived. It was rather unusual being rings of shrimp coated in a nice batter on a bed of shredded cabbage. A bowl of white rice was served with the dish, and more of the neon red sweet & sour sauce. It was fine. Generous amount of shrimp. I was asked how everything was as each part of my meal was brought to the table. I had to be honest in the end saying that the entree would be better had it been prepared with pieces of tomatoes, bell peppers, and pineapple chunks. That’s the style I’m use to. I was told that’s not how they do it; so it’s understandable that no consideration be made. They’re content with it as they choose. I was honest saying I’d never order that again then. There are other options on the menu I’d try… Moo Goo Gai Pan is one that I should have ordered. The one part of service that concerned me is when my check with my card was picked up. The lady took it to another table while taking another customer’s order, and answering questions. If you’re going to do that, leave my check and card at my table until you’re ready. Not a secure way of checking out. Before leaving I used the men’s room. It’s clean, but they have storage in the stall. Parking is free, and plenty of spaces. Not the best experience in dining, but not very bad as well. Only disappointment is in the entree that I should have read more into the menu’s description. A lesson in “do not assume” anything, or take for granted. My check after tax came to $25.19.

Absolutely the Best Chinese Food in Surprise!

This is a super relaxed spot for Chinese food in Surprise, AZ and honestly, probably the best around. The food is always fresh, the prices are very reasonable, and the service strikes the perfect balance: attentive without being pushy, and they let us enjoy our meal at our own pace.

Their egg drop soup is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. My personal go-to is the L9 lunch special; sweet and sour chicken. Crispy, flavorful, and always hits the spot. If you’re craving quality Chinese food in a chill setting, Good Fortune is the place.

Best food and service ever! Everyone was so sweet, it was my brother’s and my birthday! They gave us birthday hats, free donuts and drinks so sweet! They also sang Happy Birthday Erica and Dom are the best! The server with blue hair is also so sweet! (Didn’t catch her name) The chicken curry is bomb and crab ragoons.

Rice taste like garbage. Sweet and sour pork is old pork. Calamari was in the freezer to long. Broccoli beef was OK.
Happy family was o k everything else trash. What a waste of good money.

Responsive customer service-
Meal portions exceeds the average that you’d receive for dinner. Right temperature and should you get take out orders… well now, the cozy bag keeps your food just right.
Price for the portion received is excellent.
Would not only visit again and again… highly recommend.

I would give 5 stars because the Food is delicious. This review is about the customer service. Ordering by phone is absolutely horrible. The gal had no idea what the dish was, you could hardly understand her service kept cutting out, she put me on hold and hung up called back once more same senerio immediately put on hold and she hung up again.
Decided to go elsewhere.
If you want food from here go in person until they figure out how to properly take phone orders for take out.
Granted it was New Year’s day but they could have handled it better.
