The current owners, David & Cheryl Park, purchased the business from Les & Kathryn Wilder in April 1987. They moved the business to 514 State Street Ottawa, IL in March 2000, where it still stands today, thriving in a wonderful community.

Very good food and the staff are super friendly. I had stuffed pepper soup which was the best I’ve ever had. The hot turkey plate was also very good. A bit salty on the gravy but besides that it was like a great home cooked meal. This was my first time but I will definitely be back, can’t wait to try their breakfast.

Quick service, friendly staff, good food, and good prices. This may become a regular spot for a late breakfast after hunting the state parks. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette and biscuits and gravy. Both were delicious.

Live on the South side. Wish I had a decent breakfast spot. Servers are nice. Food is mediocre at best. Have tried a few times. The last time I stopped I tried the biscuits and gravy, shouldn’t have bothered. Terrible.

I think this is my only perfect review. This restaurant is amazing, it is a breakfast place and they do close at 1pm. Which is a TAD bit of a bummer. The food is always delicious and comes quickly, service is always 10/10.
I love this specific restaurant because of one of the waitresses, she’s waited on FOUR generations (possibly 5) of my family, she’s seen my mother and ny grandmother grow up, and she’s seen me grow up. I don’t even know if she realizes who I am, but she’s so polite, a treasure, and she always has on the MOST beautiful jewelry sets!
If you pick this restaurant, be prepared to make it your favorite, between the food, the atmosphere, and the staff you’ll never want to leave. And if you want a good soup recommendation, get the beef and vegetables it’s absolutely DIVINE!
(Plus the bathrooms are clean and always have TP)

On occasion I’ll stop in for lunch and its always good as well.
Their coffee is terrible. Watered down drip.
