Yesterday was my 1st time visiting VA Kabob House here in Springfield. Being a fan of Afghan cuisine, I had to stop by as soon as possible. Their $11.99 Chicken Kabob Lunch Special advertised on the window had me drop everything I was doing at the moment, just to walk in and try their food out…and let me tell you….Their food is seasoned and flavored to perfection. Staff is very friendly and upon placing your order, you are offered a complementary plate of their chicken soup which is made from scratch..I ended up placing a side order of the soup and I finished everything on my plate in one sitting; kabob, rice, salad, chick peas, bread and all. I’m here again today ordering the same thing as I’m typing this review. I highly recommend VA Kabob House in Springfield, Virginia. anytime you are hungry, especially lunchtime…
One more thing….I don’t really care for soup, but their chicken soup is really damn good and I’m not sure if other Kabob spots have their own soup, but VA Kabob House’s soup alone is worth the visit, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite Kabob spots in all of Northern VA.

VA Kabab House is a fantastic spot for authentic, flavorful kababs. The meat is perfectly seasoned, tender, and grilled just right. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and friendly. The aroma alone pulls you in, and every dish tastes fresh and satisfying. A great place for anyone craving quality kababs—highly recommended!

VA Kabob House is absolutely amazing! The kabobs are incredibly delicious—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was full of flavor and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service was just as fantastic as the food: friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for great kabobs and outstanding customer service, VA Kabob House is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

It is just a photocopy of Afghan food. It has no taste as Afghan food whatsoever. It seems the owner takes it easy simply not bother himself to work or focus on taste of the food. For your information, this doesn’t taste even close to Afghan food. First time me and my family had to trash 80% of our food. Burani Banjan stink like it was fried in some sort of animal fat. Spinach the same stinky that I almost throw up. Kabobs had ZERO marination, If the owner wants business he better add some real Afghan taste in to his food. For me it was my first and last time to visit this place. It is so sad that now I have to stop to get a junk food to fill myself after all wait and money I spend here. I will not recommend this place to anyone know the real taste of Afghan food. And for those who do not know how Afghan food tastes please excuse this place and do not consider it Afghan restaurant.

A quaint little establishment hidden in the side of a strip mall, VA Kabob House may not look too impressive from the outside but more than makes up for it with a knack for making some tasty food. I got the super combo, which has a very good portion and a bit of everything. 5/5 for food, though they could clean the dining area bit more thoroughly.

20240610 Got my food buddy to try this restaurant with me. I ordered the chicken and kubeeda combo. They gave us some soup and it was delicious!! It has a very tiny tiny piece of meat in my bowl. It tastes like tomato chicken soup. The sides I got was chickpea and eggplant. Both were good but chickpea could be softer. I really like the chicken kabob and rice. The chicken was very tender. The kubeeda was good but not the best that I had, and certain bites were spicy which I like. Overall the food was good
The Reston Grill Kabob is still my favorite!! The cashier seemed reserved, and could be a cultural thing. I like smiley and friendly services. The restaurant is decent but couple be cleaner.

The chicken kabob was tender and full of flavour, and the Afghan pulao was aromatic and delicious. The chutneys were fresh and flavourful.
I loved the chana masala and the eggplant, both were cooked perfectly and stood out.
Great portions, fresh taste, and definitely a place l’d come back to!
