Wonderful little shop for an afternoon snack. 8” pepperoni and a fountain drink for $11. The pizza was done perfectly. The crust was crispy and the mozzarella just turning brown. Undercarriage was OK and no pizza flop…though it was a small one. The crust had a buttery flavor it, and though crispy, the dough still had a buttery flavor. It was a bit greasy, but that proves the cheese and the meat are real!!

GRIND ON IT!!!! One of the best grinders around. Wow on quality and flavor. The club sub is one of my favorite. We shared the whole Cavonis Club Grinder. Yes we shared only one. Walked out full with a smile on my face. How they prepare and deliver the food yummy level 5. Not your average place. Keep up the great work.

This place is subpar at best. The pizza was okay and the experience was bad.
I called ahead and ordered a BBQ grinder and a pizza, they said 25 min. Got there and paid immediately. They said it wasn’t done. I told the staff I would be sitting at a table and waiting. I was able to see the counter from the spot I was waiting at. After 46 from the initial phone call I went up to the counter and asked the status of my pizza. She says she called my name a while ago and took the pizza off of a counter in the back. It had no warmer, most pizza places put it on top of the oven to keep it warm. I take the food back to the table and everything looks awful. The grinder is soggy, has no toppings and barely any bbq sauce (BBQ is in the name of this sandwich). It had crappy meat, a dash of sauce and cheese with soggy bread. The pizza was just okay. The dough didn’t rise. Maybe they have no idea what they are doing? The toppings and cheese were just okay. I absolutely wouldn’t go back if I was in the area. Overall this experience cost way too much and was a waste of time. Don’t make my same mistake.

I was heading through Battle Creek for work today. We decided to stop here for lunch. The staff was very friendly and very fast. We ate in and was served within 10 minutes of ordering. I got the Reuben grinder. It was tasty and wonderfully toasty. I was impressed. I’ll be back.

Nice thick crust that looks handmade. Yummy thick layer of cheese. Not too greasy. Sauce is overspiced. Toppings have little flavor. Quick counter service. Great pizza for the price.

Okay, Battle Creek found my new favorite pizza and grinder place…Cavoni’s Pizza and Grinders Please give them a try. We ordered 2 large pizzas and 1 grinder knowing we wanted leftovers for tomorrow. The owner, Kathy came out to the dinning room and asked how our meal was…I invited her to sit down and visit with us. We raved about how delicious and affordable everything was. We chatted like old friends, she shared that her husband was in back just finishing up making the grinder bread and pizza dough for tomorrow. I knew that it wasn’t any processed pre-made bread or pizza crust. This restaurant is worth every penny, Battle Creek support the mom and pop joints…Cavoni’s needs to be on the TOP of the list! Thanks to Kathy and the staff for making our 1st experience a GREAT ONE!

Stopped by this “hole in the wall” passing through on a business trip. My associate and I each ordered grinders: He the Steak A-1 and me the Cavoni’s: Turkey, Ham, and Bacon. The bag we were handed must have weighed 2-3 pounds. These were about 16″ long subs which also tasted fantastic, particularly the sauce and the bread. We both loved the food and had enough left over for lunch the following day. Highest recommendation! We may even alter our future family travel plans to stop here – our son is a collegiate rower and works out daily… and can eat a TON. At some restaurants he orders two entrees. He would not need to at Cavoni’s. A great value and memorable taste.
