This was a quaint little Indian cafe. The building is a vintage diner, warm and inviting. We had (and highly recommend) the vegetable biryani. It was delicious with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of spiciness.
Our host was glad to see us, helpful and took care of everything. If your on I80 this is a must stop for lunch, dinner, or snacks. They have tons of yummy treats to go. Stop and enjoy their food and hospitality.

The Lord Jesus wanted us to write this review through Tyson foods about the greatest Indian food on the interstate. If you’re looking for a great place to eat or to take out and to do a 10-hour break, right here is the best place on interstate 80. Great food, great people, pictures included.

I ordered goat biryani right here but i did not like it. The plate has only 4 small pieces of meat mixed with rice and too much uncooked onions !!! It was tottaly different way of other restaurants Birryani
I also ordred a Indian chai i just threw it , the taste is horrible and it was unfiltred , the chai should be a boiled milk not raw .
Plus the prices is way too high of others indian restaurant

We have always been curious about this building so my husband and I decided to stop spur of the moment and we were not disappointed!! The garlic naan is simply to die for—it’s worth coming just for that! The butter chicken, samosas, & the malai kofta were yummy too ❤️

If you’re not used to India food it’s a new tase. I thought it was pretty good sweet and spicy. The chicken was falling apart good. It’s a tiny family run restaurant. Which we need more of. The customer service was excellent. The building needs remodeling. It’s not a major corporation. So they need the business to improve the building. I’d eat there again.

Right off the interstate 80 express. I was actually shocked to find an Indian restaurant in Iowa but I’m glad I did. I ordered the shrimp curry and it was delicious plus they give you plenty of rice as well, since I drive through Iowa often I will be coming back again very soon to try the chicken curry and goat curry next time.

I’m a truck driver and last night I was looking for a place to park and grab a bite to eat. I noticed this New Taste of India, it was 8:30 pm, they close at 9 pm and I was 90 miles away.
I called, told them my situation and they agreed to stay open until I arrived. I arrived, grabbed my meal, settled up and thought I would ask them about a meal I saw in a video.
I asked him about a meal called Burnt Onion Shrimp Curry. Now, I know the meal he prepared for me was not what I asked for, but is neither here nor there.
This pleasant accident turned out to be ONE OF THE GREATEST MEALS I’VE EVER EATEN!!! Spicy, tasty and scrumptious! I swear there was a whole shrimp for almost every spoonful.
I highly recommend truck drivers and everyone else to stop in and eat.

This is a favorite haunt of mine while traveling I 80. Food is delicious and authentic (as much as an American can know). I love the retro atmosphere, and that the staff takes pride in their recipes. The owner certainly has an interest in the enjoyment of his customers. I highly recommend it.
