Visited from Vancouver! Holy crap the slow burger is legendary! What a cool grungy atmosphere in the bar. Absolutely love it here, would come back again!

Went out on my own to Slow Bar and had a fantastic night. Great staff, amazing drinks and food to die for. 10/10 recommend.
I ordered a Makers Manhatten, Hot Toddy and two Whiskey Sprites. For food I did the Steak Frites and Cajan Tots. The drinks were fantastic as was the company. The steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Melted like butter, truly orgasmic. Most restaurants don’t cook steak well and this was a happy exception. Cajan Tots had good kick.
Between the food and the amazing service, I will for sure recommend and return to Slow Bar

Great bar for outstanding cocktails and food. The burgers were amazing and cooked perfectly to order. There is a lot on the menu for a place of this size. Inwas told the salads are also a favorite so another reason to return.

I’ve come here several times over the years and have always liked the atmosphere and food. There are a number of high backed booths and there always seems to be a good-sized friendly crowd here. The service is excellent. Steve was a very thoughtful and friendly bartender/server for us today. Top notch!

I remember the burgers being really good here but decided to stretch out a bit and get a French Dip. It wasn’t that great, unfortunately. The meat tasted pretty charred and the bun was burnt in spots. The meat was thin sliced sirloin, which is unique for a French Dip, but I wouldn’t really recommend it due to the burnt flavor. And the Au Jus was too light on flavor, salt and color.

My gal got the fried chicken sandwich, which she felt was a little light on chicken and a bit bland. I did like the red cabbage heavy bite she gave me. Next time we’ll split a half pound burger.

New owners—now the food is exceptional. A dimly lit stall size bar with a lot of personality and shockingly good food. I recommend the hot honey pizza or the spinach artichoke dip if it’s late. It used to focus on a low price food menu but now it’s good prices with incredible food. A cocktail, a beer, and the dip for $20. Nancy will blow your socks off with her proficiency with 30 years ‘in the game.’ Great experience every time.

Cool place, fantastic service, unfortunately I specifically picked this place based on the burger reviews (best burger ever) and while it was a respectable basic burger, fresh ingredients, nice brioche bun, it was nothing special. The Philly cheese steak was average nothing special, having lived in south Philadelphia ,the most important thing lacking was caramelized onions and peppers, they were under cooked. I’m not a hater and this place has many positive qualities, I would certainly give it another chance….

Dawg….. this burger was spectacular. It was on a short list of best burgers in Portland and after ordering the Slowburger it has rose to the top of my personal list. Every bite was better than the last.

Thick and juicy. The fries were a lil too crisp but I wasn’t even mad about it. Slow Bar itself has a cool vibe to it. Divey and great booth seating

Went here with my husband for a date night. Great bourbon selection priced reasonably. The slow burger and fries were incredible. I don’t usually eat more than a couple fries, but these were exceptional. Huge portions if you’re into that. We couldn’t finish ours. We’ll definitely be back

The Slow Burger is one of the classics in Portland – don’t be fooled by the size! Just smash it down and enjoy the onion rings with the delicious burger and brioche bun.
