I went in here tonight at 8:27 I ordered a decent amount of food 30$ worth of food actually. And by all means I am not this type of person but I had to go back inside and tell them that we were missing our cheese cake bites and that there was WAY too much sauce in my garlic loaded fries it didn’t even look like what I had ordered I was disgusted by the amount of sauce on them and the wings that I ordered had sauce pouring out the side and all over the bag and food with them

Did a pick up order and, first as, they got ride of my favorite, stawbeery fanta and replaced it with Orange. Soi get there and the dude’s like, sorry, we don’t have it anymore That’s fine that’s what your fault, what other?nCaffeine free options do you have? He stares at me like I asked him to figure out nuclear physics. “Uuuuuuugggg idk i don’t do suger” and just starts listing off all the drinks. I just tell him pib whatever. I get home, frys and burger are cold. Yikes but whatever. I take to sips of my LARGE drink and it’s gone. I take the top off and I see this crap. Just calk full of ice. 14$ BTW. With a coupon. Go out of your way and go to the orange city charkers. This place is a BUST.

Joe, at the drive thru, was very polite & and pleasant. I had to go inside to get his picture! I ordered the BBQ Brisket Sandwich to give a try because it looked yummy in the picture. I was so hungry, forgive me I forgot to take a picture before I started eating it, sorry I was not disappointed! My only complaint was that the bread was not toasted enough or at all. The meat was flavorful, though! I will return to try this again & make sure it’s done properly next time so I know that I would fully enjoy it.

On my way home I decided to stop by and pick up dinner for the wife and I. The young man working the drive-through was polite and courteous asked me to pull around. I decided to park since the other drive-through would’ve been an exit only and the reason why he asked was so he can make my food fresh. He brings my food out then I start my 22 minute commute home with traffic to find out there is something missing when I got home. I drove back up and requested to have everything remade and his response was to the manager. He wants his whole order remade because one thing missing. I responded with I am not gonna take cold food back to my home and just wasted 45 minutes to come back here to get the rest of my food. Then the manager asked well what are you missing? I then responded by, I gave you my whole bag and receipt. Please replace everything fresh I responded. Not sure if I will return to this checkers as every time I come here usually is something wrong with my order to some degree and always somebody different working here. I am satisfied as they did replace my order with fresh food and the young man apologized.

Tony is approachable, attentive, and goes out of his way to ensure orders are correct and service is smooth. You can tell he values both his staff and the customers who come in. September 4th 2025. Hi I’m a handicapped customer. I went to Checkers today, around 4:00 p.m. I ordered a Glorilla cheeseburger and a side of fries. The order was taken very promptly and by a very friendly attendant. The food came out fresh and piping hot. The manager at the time was Stephanie. She is a phenomenal manager, along with the other managers that are on other days. Stephanie makes sure that all the customers and employees are happy. Whenever I come in, I feel like I am the most important customer there. Being handicapped, I need extra napkins, ketchup and sometimes I’ll change my order and add and take off items from the burger. It’s never a problem and I don’t feel like I’m ever imposing on them. The team also works well with her. I do also admire the other managers as well. I go into many different restaurants. This particular restaurant stands out at the top of all the others. Checkers should be very proud of this particular location for their cleanliness, food freshness and customer satisfaction. HORRIBLE customer service, woman at the window was extremely rude and disrespectful through my ENTIRE order. Every response was “yeah” with an attitude or she flat out did not respond. Then when I requested food be made with certain things on it she immediately started snipping at me about the fact that I requested only mustard be on a burger. Then as she leans out the window yelling a male employee comes up and joins in. Disgusting service and employees.

Good food, but EXTREMELY slow service. The line is always wrapped around the building. Be prepared to spend at least 30 to 40 minutes waiting in the drive-thru.
Also, the layout of the drive-thru is horrendous. The microphone where you order is way too far up. You have to pull so far up that your car blocks the second outer lane from being able to pull forward where both lanes meet. Terribly designed.

On 7:20 visited the Checkers on Saxon to place an order for someone else and had a disappointing experience. I initially asked for a banana milkshake and was told they didn’t have any. The employee began listing other menu items, which I was already reviewing. When she asked if I was ready to order, I responded that I was still looking. Her reply “You’re still looking at the menu? Oh Lord”, felt rude and impatient.
At that point, I decided to cancel the order. I felt rushed and I was trying to find something someone else might enjoy. A little more patience and professionalism would’ve gone a long way.
If working with people is too much, then perhaps customer service isn’t the right role. I ended up driving to a different location in Orange City and received much better service. This was my first and last time visiting the Saxon location.

I order two Big Buford combos tonight medium with 2 Cokes, 22 dollars and change. I was shocked when after waiting behind two cars I reached the drive thru window, the cashier leaned out the window and had tattoos and piercings all over her face. Some piercings were dangling out of her nose that looked like silver drops of snot dripping out. Lost my appetite immediately.
On my way home a grabbed some fries from the bag. The fries were only just warm and tasted of old oil. I live less than ten minutes away. When I got home I took a bite of the burger. Again I was sorrily disappointed, the bun was soggy, the onions were old and limp, the chopped lettuce was brown and translucent, the tomatoes were soggy and translucent and the hamburger patties were cold and seemed dried out and over cooked. It seemed the worst Big Buford I have ever had. I used to order several Big Buford combos a week, sometime every day of the week. In the 90s and 00s Checkers was excellent. Due to poor management of these Checkers restaurants I maybe stop when I am at the S Woodland Blvd location it is pretty good. All the others are not worth stopping, I no longer go to the DeLand, Orange City, either of the Daytona locations because of poor service and bad food. I might give this location another try because my first visit 4 month ago was not too bad.

This was my first visit to the New Checkers in Deltona. I didn’t see the $10 off coupon on your first visit on Google maps. When I arrived the parking lot and parking area was clean everything like a new restaurant. The general manager took my order and suggested the big Buford combo. I ordered the big Buford combo regular size. My order was ready when I reached the window and there were no cars in front of me. The Coca-Cola was awesome and the brix mix appeared to be 5 to 1 or 5.5 to 1 and not water down. The season fries were just warm obviously cooked ahead and waiting for the next guest. The fries tasted good and appeared to be cooked in new oil.
The big Buford Burger had two beef patties and two slices of cheese. The patties were warm and juicy but not hot. The cheese was melted. The lettuce was soft and not crisp, but not soggy. The tomatoes were soft and appeared to be sliced sometime ago. The pickles and onions were crisp and crunchy. The bun was soft and warm.
The food was good and the service was great. I will return to this location and give them another try. Much better than the Orange City or downtown DeLand locations.
