My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for last 3 years many times as we are spending 3-4 months a year on Saint Barths so we know it really well. This time – last day of December – it was the worst lunch we ever had on the island. The staff was great as always- very friendly, helpful and professional but the food was very disappointing. We knew that they have new chef so we were very excited to try new dishes but ended up frustrated. We took hummus for starter and it was good but then we had 2 Nicoise salads which were both very bad. Usually such salad is composed of some vegetables and tuna fish . This salad was made of lettuce and few black olives and some old , horrible tasting cold fish and I had one small slice of artichoke in it and 1/8 of radish and my husband had small slice of paprika. That was all. I had a feeling that our salads were made simply from leftovers. Charging 40 Euro for a bowl of lettuce its a bit overpricing even for Saint Barths. Horrible experience!!! Than we took a deser – which had no taste and it was so small that we hardly could share it. The food there used to be much better before . We were very disappointed. The only good thing was a great service- as always there – beautiful view and good wine . It’s too bad as the place has a great potential .

What is supposed to be an up-scale fine dining restaurant is nothing more than a sham. The service was slow (we had to ask for our very expensive bottle of wine 3 times). They were playing an action movie on the beach in the background and still sitting patrons near it, making the atmosphere non-existent. And lastly, the combination of flavors in the food were nothing unique or new, but simply odd. Would not recommend this place, so many other nicer, beautiful restaurants on the island.

The quality of service seems dependent on if you are a hotel guest or just visiting the restaurant for a meal. We have been there numerous times over the years the best time was when they first opened. For the prices they should pay more attention on the finer details. When I had an issue with a dish the staff changed their demeanor towards our
table.

Atmosphere is beautiful with an eye for detail, and service was prompt and attentive. The tapas-style food was good (fills the soul, but does not necessarily compare with other 5 star restaurants on the island) and it is a beautiful venue. Definitely worth a visit.
