When I arrived, the restaurant was semi-full but there was no wait at all. The place was nice, clean, and well organized, which made the atmosphere comfortable and welcoming.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricier side, but the freshness and portion sizes help justify it.
The staff was friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference.
Overall, I would definitely recommend CAVA for a quick, healthy, and tasty lunch option.
The WORST part though???? Out of the 8 employees that we saw working last evening THREE of them were eating “snacks” directly out of the food bowls with gloved hands that kept reaching for more. One was drinking as well. In food preparation areas in sight of all the customers.
I’ve added my receipt so perhaps those specific employees can be trained better for future service.
With 8 employees why was the food on the line un-stocked, the dining room so unclean, the speed of service so poor? AND for goodness sake WHY are they allowed to eat where they are preparing and serving food????
It was a really unfortunate experience because the food was tasty.
That lasted a month. This place is hot trash now. They literally can’t cook rice. My previous two visits, which unfortunately were carry out / delivery, the lentils were like rocks. I thought I chipped a tooth at one point. Their support team did nothing when I submitted a complaint.
Even worse, we decided to try the new Michigan road location, hoping it would be better. We both had food poisoning that evening. We should have known better because it was a circus in the restaurant.
I hope they fail miserably so we can get better options in those locations.
Manager Mycoe went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. There was a small mix-up with my order, and before I could even say much, Mycoe stepped in with a calm, friendly attitude and fixed it immediately. He checked in afterward to make sure I was happy and even gave a thoughtful recommendation for something new to try next time. It didn’t feel scripted or forced — just genuinely attentive and professional.
It’s clear the team runs smoothly under his leadership. The staff seemed upbeat, the line moved quickly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I left feeling taken care of and impressed by how smoothly everything was handled. I’ll definitely be back.
