Also, we left there around 6pm and almost 4hrs later the food is still warm in the to go containers. Not only that but my Nana is still raving about it. She said “it doesn’t taste like restaurant food. This tastes homemade. Even the mushrooms are fresh and not canned.”
Chicken & ziti with artichoke, sundried tomato, wine, garlic, cheese sauce and received oily noodles and chicken with sundried tomatoes, chicken and artichokes. No cheeses sauce but more of Italian dressing added to ingredients to create last minute flavor. Out of sheer hunger I tempted to eat the greasy noodle dish but could not stomach it. Truly disappointed as we had high hopes for this restaurant after reading the reviews and the menu.
I gave Victor’s Italian Restaurant 3 chances,
Each time was not good!
I’m Sicilian (from Palermo, Sicily) so, I know how to cook and how to make an amazing sauce. There’s no way the cooks are Italian or Sicilian…
Today (November 2022) we ordered Chicken Matteo & Chicken Parm without pasta and a side of meatballs.
Chicken Parm: The chicken itself was ok, not great but ok. The chicken was literally swimming in sauce. And, the sauce, let me tell you about the sauce…absolutely awful!! The sauce was kind of chunky but also watery…it tastes like a cheap grocery store jarred sauce…but just tomatoes, no herbs, seasoning or spices, literally just tomatoes.
The sauce is very very sweet and left a lingering sweet taste in my mouth (I only tried a bite and I spit it out, I can still taste the sauce!).
Meatballs: the meatballs were like a dense sponge…they look like frozen meatballs. Absolutely no way they are homemade!
Chicken Matteo: This meal looked like it would be decent, but it was disappointing to say the least… It looks like some pieces of chicken are breaded and others are not. The pieces with breading were soggy but the chicken itself appeared cooked well. (I took 2 bites of pasta and just couldn’t eat it). The pasta (ziti) was a little hard, it could have been cooked an extra minute or two. The sauce was mostly oil with some seasoning and it also had sweet taste…and an underlying taste that I can’t figure out. The artichokes were good.
Bread: The bread was amazing! Very fresh and soft, perfectly baked!!
The Staff has always been very nice and pleasant when I call to order.
I gave this place a few chances because every cook/chef is different and once in a while a restaurant can have an off day…
But, after 3 times…I’m done!
I will not be ordering from here again!
Looks like we will be having cereal for dinner because it’s too late for me to cook!
The chicken Marsala, chicken parmigiana, and chicken Alfredo were great, tasty, really yummy!!
Highly recommend!
