Los Compadres Taquilla Barrel, we went here after we got off the water. There was a short wait for a table, but it was worth it. The organic margarita was excellent. The service was very good. The food was delicious. I had the mixed fajitas, which were delightful. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The experience was good. I recommend

I arrived for lunch just past 11, and it was not busy. Beware when I left after noon, very very busy! The salsa was delicious, possibly the best tasted! I went à la carte with spinach quesadilla which was quite tasty. The Chiles Toreados were ok, I just like mine a little bit more saute. The waitress was hands on with customer service!! On my way out, other worker bees were friendly, which I love experiencing!

It was good. But then again I was ready to chew my arm off I was so hungry. I ordered a carnitas burrito and a lunch special with a tamale and a chili rellenos with rice and beans. The carnitas burrito was covered in cheese sauce(Tex max) and the chili rellenos and tamale were decent. The rice was like a good box brand… beans needs some love. More salt and fats.
I ate it most of it then saved the rice and beans. The receipt doesn’t match the menu at all…. And should have been slightly less.
The one good thing is the hot sauce I had to ask for when picking this up was very good. Do they make it in house? No clue. But it was good! Nice and Smokey with some heat.
Will I go back? Probably not….

Initially thought it was part of a chain restaurant and tried this location. It was good. The fajita had steak, shrimp and chicken but was overcooked. The beans were not refried but pinto beans. My husband had the carne asada which he loved. The rice was cooked perfectly. The drinks were great and suggest the top shelf margarita. The Mt Juliet location is better. I did love the atmosphere and music.

It was Las Compadres Tequila second day to be open. They built on the site of the original 1st Cracker Barrel. The place was packed. The staff was moving as quickly as possible. The parking lot was clean, the inside was as well. The decor was traditional mexican restaurant design. They have a sports bar section with 2 tvs to watch. The food was tasty but the portions were small for the price. The drinking glasses were of a unique design. The (Bantos) bathrooms were a bit of a mess. I will make a return visit to see how things progress.

Solid Mexican restaurant, standard dishes, well-prepared. To earn 4 or 5 stars it has to be sensational, one of a kind. Food was good, service was good. We had shrimp Hawaiian (steamed shrimp with pieces of sliced ham and pcs. Of tiny pineapple thrown in, with queso cheese on top. Also, chicken fajitas quesadillas , which was prepared correctly in a grilled tortilla. Beer was cold , Margaritas excellent. Good wait staff, plenty of seating, food comes out quick. 1 minute from interstate. Paved lot, plenty of parking.

New restaurant, not bad but overpriced for what you get. Clean place, nice wait staff, heavy chairs, and weird stiff menus but overall not bad

First time eating there. Taco salad shell half full watery on the bottom. My chips are stale and hard, salsa sour and guacamole turning brown not bright green. Totally disappointed .

Wow, not what I was expecting. My brother and I are visiting and a friend suggested this place. He had a Molcajetes; it was loaded with steak, shrimp, cactus, peppers, and more. I had the Camarónes a la Hawaiana; jumbo shrimp with pineapples, ham & cheese. Very tasty
The atmosphere is great and the staff was so nice. And the food, wow, loved it.
