Visited in June 2025. Food and service were great.
Visited again a couple weeks later and there was a note on the door that they were closed that day due to staffing. That was a $200 non-hamburger day. Might call ahead just to verify they are open if planning to fly in but we do plan on going again and going several times. It is a great paved runway restaurant for when WX restricts grass strip access at other places around the MO/AR/KS area.

It was alright – I got the French Toast with a side of Hash Browns and Scrambled Eggs. Ran me about 15 bucks for the meal, call it 18 with a tip – expensive for the quality, but I guess it IS an airport diner.
The eggs were amazing, but the hashbrowns and french toast were pretty bland and flavourless. If you just got off a 6 hour flight I’m sure it would be pretty good – I did not though, and as such I’d suggest going to the ihop 10 minutes away instead.

This is a really neat place to visit if you like seeing planes. Planes ascending, Planes descending, planes landing, planes sitting on the tarmac.
However, there are only like 6 tables outside, and they look to be 2 seaters. There are at least 20 tables inside, but 3 were scooted together so by the time we got there, my spouse, myself and baby were sitting at a 6 seater table. If the tables were more split, they could have gotten more service. We got here around 8am on a Sunday and were seated right away. By the time we left, it was a 45 minute wait. Additionally, you can’t really see the tarmac from the inside unless you’re seated in a booth. Even then, a table is right on the other side of the window.
The food was good. We got the kids pancakes, spinach omelette, and country fried steak. The omelette was good, but the bottom side was wet and a tad undercooked. By a tad, I mean it would have been great with another 30 seconds on the skillet.
My husband’s country steak was good, and he said he’d recommend it.
The pancakes were fluffy, and served with whipped butter.

The food is really good. 5 Stars to Server “Carrie”!! She is one of the best servers I’ve had. Her Smile and Genuine Attitude will make Anyone a return customer!! Thank You Young Lady for making Our meal better than just the flavor.

We have been eating here for over 3-4 years, mainly Breakfast. It seems that after the Restaurant changed hands, and new Management brought their particular style, the quality / quantity of food has dramatically gone down. I know there was one of their kitchen staff who recently retired, but I mainly place the reduced satisfaction directly on the Management. We have a server who is outstanding, I just wish they would listen to their customer complaints and get them resolved. I reached out to the Management through their “Contact us page”, but no response.

Food was great! Thanks cooks. Service was awful. She was talking so fast taking our order, we could barely understand her. Not once checked in with us. Put our food on the table and walked away to continue mouthing about needing to leave to pick up her daughter but couldn’t leave because another employee had court or something. We as customers don’t need to hear the back and forth of personal issues. Nothing warm and inviting about any of the dining room staff unfortunately.

Perfect experience at the landing zone. The server was sweet and attentive. The food was delicious. This place was really interesting. You park then enter a set of glass doors with their logo. Immediately you must either go up a flight of stairs or on an elevator to the second floor. Once you reach the second floor, there are restrooms and a sitting area. You enter another door and go down a short hallway to the restaurant. It was all very clean. It’s a little different getting to the restaurant because there is a bit of a detour but it’s no big deal. The road construction on the highway wasn’t bad at all, either! Don’t let the road construction sway you from checking it out. Totally worth the short drive.

Such a unique dining experience. You’re seated upstairs over looking the air strip. Have the opportunity to observe aircraft take off and land, while enjoying down home delicious food. The portions are adequate, and made fresh. The service is quick and attentive. Pricing is fair and offer military/first responder discounts
