The chicken sandwich was so good. Lightly breaded, crispy but not heavy, and the slaw on it had amazing flavor and crunch. You can tell they care about the details. And the café mocha… finally one made with real chocolate. Rich, smooth, not overly sweet. It honestly pulled the whole meal together. Such a pleasant place to sit and enjoy good food. I’ll definitely be back.
I had a Gingerbread Latte and it was awesome. It didn’t taste like it was loaded with artificial flavors and wasn’t sugary. And the breakfast burrito I had was incredible!!!
Sometimes I like to change it up and ask to customize some things, and some combinations will have to be paid extra, but the quality is always there and the care in creating the food and drink is amazing.
Coffee is fresh and not bitter, fresh juices are lovely! They do cakes, pastries, sandwiches and burritos, amazing Mexican and bakery fare. Very vegetarian friendly 10/10.
I called days in advance to order a flan cake for a birthday. I was told it would take a couple of days and that we could pick it up right before heading to the party. We arrived exactly as planned—only to be told that they had already sold our cake to someone else about 20 minutes earlier.
Why? Because a random person walked in and claimed it was theirs.
No name check.
No phone number verification.
No receipt confirmation.
They just handed over our custom order to whoever asked for it.
So there we were, minutes before a birthday party, with no cake because of their negligence.
And here’s the part that takes this from bad to outrageous: instead of apologizing and fixing their mistake, the owner/person at the register offered another cake… and expected us to pay for it. Let that sink in. They gave away our order and then tried to charge us again to clean up their mess.
This is not a “mix-up.” This is a total failure of basic business practices and customer service. Any competent bakery knows you verify names or phone numbers before releasing an order—especially for special occasions. Apparently, that’s too much to ask here.
If you’re ordering for a birthday, event, or anything that actually matters, do not trust this bakery. They cannot manage orders, do not take responsibility for their mistakes, and will leave you scrambling at the last minute with nothing to show for it.
One of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. Avoid.
I did a search for good coffee and pastries nearby to my hotel’s location.
I went there early one morning and was welcomed by the people and the atmosphere of the place.
It’s right on the corner of intersecting roads, which gives it a nice view from inside the building.
It’s run by a husband and wife team and the food was fresh and tasty. The coffee was also hot and flavorful.
On my first visit, I just got coffee and a chocolate croissant (nicely sized). After that, I knew I needed to return before I flew back to Austin.
On my second visit I tried their breakfast quesadilla with sausage (yummy!) and an orange and cranberry scone.
I think they cook their food onsite, as they have a decent sized kitchen behind the counter, and it certainly tasted fresh.
Next time I’m in Burbank, I will be returning.
Support this great local business.
