It is about time rock hill got such an amazing restaurant. This is by far the best in rock hill. We went here yesterday and sat at the bar. Ashely was the bartender and she was so sweet and really knows her drinks. She actually made a drink for me that I love that has Aperol, elderflower, and presecco! She made it to perfection. My husband and I shared the stout braised beef melt with Cajun fries and it was so delicious with every bite! This place will definitely outgrow itself and they will need a bigger space because it is amazing. Would love to have outdoor seating here but I may never leave lol. I will be back to try other options on the menu. Thanks Ashley for the awesome service.

I’ve visited several times with groups and on my own for takeout (no call-ahead, you have to order at the bar and wait). The food is consistently delicious and the servers and bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. I’m partial to the jasmine bowl (with shrimp), mushroom truffle burger (really any burger – the lamb is so good also), and the nachos. Know that at dinner time you either have to arrive at opening or expect to wait. We once went just for drinks/apps for our anniversary and sat at the bar and had a fabulous time. I love that this place is owned and operated by a local family that also does fun pop ups during city events like a hot dog cart during a festival. I will recommend it every time to anyone looking to have a good meal in Rock Hill.

This place is special! The food is exceptional and the service is on point! The Pastrami Ruben has house cured pastrami which melts in your mouth! The Disco frys are the ultimate app, I mean come on its braised beef and fries! What’s not to like about that!? My son loved the kids quesadilla meal! Top notch people making top notch eats in downtown Rock Hill, SC

We ventured to Rock Hill to try Elk Ave Tavern due to all the great reviews we heard, and the reviews were very accurate. Great tavern setting with tasty cocktails and even better food! We tried the disco fries and double cheeseburger for lunch, and everything was excellent! Smooches to the chef!

If you’re hungry for good pub food (sorry no British fied fish that I saw on this season’s menu) with big portions, loads of flavor, and a place with great service, get here now!! Best restaurant in Rock Hill that I’ve been to in the last eight years hands down. We happened upon it for lunch on a Thursday and they took EXCELLENT care of us. My eighteen year old son, my husband, and I decided to give it a go and are looking forward to returning again and again. Bring your appetite and you’d better bring a couple of friends if you want to trip the disco fries. They’re HUGE and loaded with cheese and braised beef. Every single time we tried to pull a fry, we had to pull and pull and pull and try to keep the cheese from falling onto the table. That’s a good thing in our book. This dish is what Canada’s poutine wishes it was! The beef was so tender.

The Elk Avenue Tavern was fantastic. So much so, that I had to return a few more times in a week. We were told we had a 45 minute to an hour wait, but our table was ready in about 20 minutes or so. We shared the 16oz. ribeye, and I have got to say, that is one of the best pieces of meat that I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been thinking about that steak ever since, that I’m going back again this weekend to get it again. I met a couple next to our table and they said they drive over 30 minutes away to order their wings because they are so good. So a few days after my first visit, I went back for lunch to try their wings and they were right, they were worth the drive. Apparently they smoke them, then grill them and they were delicious. Seamus was our waiter and he was awesome but sadly I believe it was his last night there and was moving back up north. The only recommendation I can make is, get there early, and you can still possibly expect to wait, they do not take reservations. One thing to keep in mind as well, they do not have a phone. I found that quite odd because I needed to let them know I was running late and I had no way to let them know because I couldn’t get a hold of anybody. All in all, I’ve been wanting to try this place forever and I’m so glad I finally did because it’s my new favorite place to go. I have been telling everybody about it! It is, “A Must Try Place!” I’m going back for the ribeye this weekend, but I’m going to have to go back again for another lunch time so I can have their Reuben. I have a menu bucket list just for Elk Avenue Tavern I will definitely be a frequent diner from now on!

I got the cheesesteak and let me tell you it was impeccable. The flavor is unmatched to any other cheesesteak I’ve had, I got the side of potato salad as well as fries and they are both wonderful options. They do tend to get busy so be prepared to wait or call ahead to reserve a table, I will say it is 1000% worth the wait

This was our first time here. We walked in to a greeter that didn’t greet us, no hello or welcome, she just walked us to our table while trying to pull up her pants which didn’t work, since all we saw from the back was her purple underwear hanging out the entire time we were there. We felt she wasn’t dressed appropriately for her position. The food was good, my husband had the cheese steak and I had the double burger. We returned the french onion soup since it was way too salty, the cheese wasn’t melted and it just didn’t taste right. Our server, Courtney, was great. She was busy yet kept an eye on our table and made sure we had everything we needed.

I have never seen a kitchen that gets food out so quickly with a crowd of 40 people sitting down all at once? Food was excellent, salmon, hamburger and cheese steak with wonderful sides, were all perfectly cooked and delicious. Will return
