We’ve bypassed this restaurant so many times over the last couple years but finally decided to give it a try this week and were very pleasantly surprised.
I had steak fajitas and hubby had “Catrina’s Burritos.” Both dishes were freshly prepared, well seasoned, and bursting with flavor. The steak was very tender and cooked just right. We also ordered a side of guacamole, and it’s some of the best I’ve had. ((Thank you for NOT adding jalapenos to your guac recipe! Why is this even starting to be a thing anyway?)) ☺️ Portions were very generous.
The interior was well lit….nothing fancy but updated, roomy, comfortable, and clean. Service was quick and friendly. Our new favorite for Mexican food in the Maggie Valley area!

I loved my visit here. The prices were reasonable, food was so delicious. I got the shrimp fajitas and the shrimps were so big, I couldn’t finish it all. The servers were so sweet and nice and all of the employees were making the environment more energetic with laughing, playing music, and just casual talking. Their wing appetizer looks and WAS so good. The meat was completely cooked and it was so spicy and good. I only gave the atmosphere review 4 stars because some of the lights were blinking and going out but it’s nothing major.

I was looking for some good Mexican food! And I’m definitely impressed! The customer service was great! They made sure to check on me every step of the of the way the margarita was a 10 out of 10 and the food was made quickly fresh and so good! Portions were great and atmosphere was just nice! If I’m ever in town again I’ll definitely be back there!

Solid 5 stars! Our family of five went for dinner, and were immediately greeted by very friendly staff who walked us to our table. There is lots of space and fun Dia de Los Muertos decorations… It is also very, very clean. There was lots to choose from on the menu, so there will be something for everybody (including picky eaters). We started with a complementary basket of chips, homemade salsa (which was so incredibly tasty), and bean dip – so good! Our meals came out quickly and were absolutely delicious plus the portion sizes were enormous! This is the first time in years we’ve had to ask for boxes to bring home leftovers (I am already looking forward to them) – and the price was just right! We are only in Maggie Valley for a few days, but are going to definitely squeeze another trip to Catrina’s before we leave.

I read many of the reviews about this place before my fiancée and I decided to eat here. The one thing I will agree with is that the “free” beans as a starter were bland. The Enchiladas she ordered were tender and very delicious. As for the Barria Tacos I ordered under their specials menu were simply amazing I have ordered it every where I go and there were simply 5 star. We both highly recommend this place if your looking for Mexican in the area. Note: they don’t have a spicy margaritas on the menu but the bartender wiped up a very good jalapeño margarita that was very satisfying.

Mexican food is my favorite. My girlfriend and I have wanted to see about this place for several months. If you live in the area, you have likely been in there when it was another bar. Although we were very hungry and thirsty, it was too early to belly up to the bar. So we ordered enchiladas and I had a taco while she had the burrito. Certainly not what I expected. Beef, beans, and rice. Greasy and not enough enchilada sauce to get my napkin dirty. The sweet tea was good. The only server that was there did not check on us at all after the food was delivered. Sat in the booth behind us rolling silverware at a volume that can only be described as severely insulting. Even after looking over my shoulder a time or two to maybe you’ve heard of the hint that her actions were extremely inconsiderate, she continued. Our tea was never topped off and finally had to ask her if we could get our ticket. So, all in all it was NOT worth the time, money, or absolutely incredible amount of heartburn that I have right now as I write this review. And I have drank about 30% of a bottle of Maalox.

Awesome food. Staff is friendly and the food is really good. I had the Catrina’s Enchiladas it was perfect. Not too much sauce but quite a bit of filling. The Choro queso was the bomb. The portions are large without being too large.

The prices were reasonable, the food was good, and the service was good.
I gave it 3 stars instead of 4, because little things could have made it better. For example, the Fajitas came with 3 tortillas, not adequate, they charge $3 for 3 more.
