Overall I would return as the food was delicious. Hopefully by then their end servicing will have improved.
So, if you’re local, forget about this place. It’s designed strictly for hotel guests. We were here on a Thursday evening & the place was almost empty.
The food was decent. The lobster roll was very good, but the goat cheese terrain was a disappointment. Nothing close to the way it used to be made.
Happy hour has been illuminated as well. Our waitress was surprised a local was there. lol.
This hotel is set up for guests only.
The food, the portions, the service??
I had asked the waiter several questions including the petite filet. She told me it was a chicken, it was steak. We had then ordered the chicken, it was cooked to the point of being inedible due to it being so hard. They had gotten us a steak to correct this, we had asked the steak for medium well, the steak was cooked raw. The server constant took the silverware and not replacing it unless asked, and did not ask to refill out waters.
The atmosphere was reminiscent to a McDonald’s with low lighting, a bar, dollar tree decor, and a Hefty price tag. $125 a person for a whole 5 course. Portions were extremely small, which I can understand, if the atmosphere and experience had made up for this.
Don’t even get me started on the parking as well, it was awful!!
Several other dates did not expect this and had left as well, there was no expectations set for as well.
The drinks are priced at a bearable price.
The salmon I will say was very dry.
I am very sad, if I wanted this type of experience I would have just spent my Valentine’s Day at a Texas Roadhouse and saved myself some money.
I’m not sure if this place is under new management but the first time my steak was not cooked right a female manager made sure it was right and made sure our experience continued to be a pleasant one. They recovered nicely and we continued to have a great time and came back. However, this last time the male manager seemed annoyed that I was making a complaint and did not give me a great feel for this restaurant to come back to. When I will be spending $$$ I expect a steak done to what I ask for.
To make dining here fit the quality of the atmosphere and food, they need to train their staff on timing, clearing plates before bringing the next course, opening wine, refills of water, etc. More than once we had to ask others to find our server.
This place has potential, nice atmosphere, great food, just need to up the service.
I love trying new experiences and do not mind paying money for good food. The food was OK. The portions were very very small. We each had the meal and one drink and with our tip was $400 for two people. We are not big eaters but we were still hungry when we left. . Hopefully, if it’s not a holiday, it will be a better experience!
