Absolutely one of the best, allergy-friendly meals I’ve had. The team at Commander’s Palace took such good care of me with my multiple food allergies and delivered not only delicious food but such hospitality. I often feel like a burden to wait staff and kitchen staff but CP was prepared for my arrival and didn’t make me feel like a bother. I had the tomato salad, fried catfish, peach smash sorbet and corpse reviver no 2. 15/10 stars will be back!!

10/10 the best restaurant in New Orleans! Our waiter Keith went over and beyond for me to make sure my vegan meal was amazing! He had them specially prepare me an entree off the menu they was so delicious and had a smoky flavor that I don’t think I’ve ever had while I was vegan! The soup of the day was superb and the raspberry sorbet was delicious! Absolutely recommend for anyone vegan and non vegan looking for a fancy dinner or just good quality food! Everyone in our 18 person group gives this place 5 stars!

What an amazing experience! Classy yet fun. Service was top notch, food was delicious, and drinks were strong (in a great way haha)! We even got a little mini tour of the open kitchen on the way out. I see why reservations are so hard to come by. This place is wonderful, all around.

Commanders Place has been on our bucket list for a few years. It did not disappoint. When we walked in the door, we were treated as we were the only ones dining there for the evening. Service was amazing. The food was delightful, and we even got to walk through the open kitchen when leaving. I truly felt like a princess who was visiting by everyone who was working. Please go treat yourself to this amazing restaurant and amzing people.

It’s obvious that everything at Commander’s is going to be great. BUT, I want to point out a most under-rated menu item: The Commander’s Crisp Romaine Salad. Such basic ingredients, but so tasty that I forget that it is only the salad course and nearly get full devouring it before the main course. It might sound crazy singing the praises of romaine lettuce on a plate, but whatever NOLA voodoo Commander’s does to it makes it worthy. Seriously, give it a try and I’ll sound slightly less wacky. 🙂

We were fortunate to be able to go to Commander’s Palace as part of my son’s make-a-wish in New Orleans. The valet attendant was on his phone when we got there and took a a few minutes to see we were waiting on him. The front desk staff wasn’t very welcoming either. It really put a little damper on our visit. Once we were seated and met our waiter we started to relax and feel comfortable. Edward/Eddie/Ed was absolutely the best, as well as other waiters who helped and tended to us. The food was absolutely amazing! We greatly appreciated all the kindness we were shown by the staff during our meal. You truly helped turned the experience around for us. My boys walked out of there full and happy.

One of the best old-standing restaurants in New Orleans. I came here for the jazz brunch with my wife and everything was phenomenal. They sat us on the top floor that overlooks Washington street and try to get that if you can, it’s beautiful. The food, the service, and the musicians. I highly recommend the pecan-crusted fish as the entree, it was light, delicious and flaky. The turtle soup was among the top two of all the restaurants I tried. If you drink, the espresso martini is one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re coming to NOLA, make this a priority for brunch. I’m sure the dinner here is spectacular as well.

What a gem! We dined here last week, and every part of the experience was memorable and delightful. We celebrated a family dinner, and every single staff member we engaged with was so kind. The hostesses, the head waiter, waiters, bussers, and everyone. The atmosphere is formal yet festive (not stuffy). And I expected it to be since there is a dress code. No jeans, no shorts, some guests in formal attire (jackets and ties). It wasn’t pretentious at all. Our dinner selections from the Coolinary menu and sides a la cart were all delicious.

My husband and I enjoyed our quail and pork dinners along with the shrimp appetizer with pickled okra that was divine! Makalia Richardson and her team warmly greeted us and took care of every aspect of our dinning experience. Their presentation was excellent. I must admit that I am not a big fan of bread pudding but was pleasantly delighted with the Creole bread pudding Souffle with warm whiskey cream (Chef’s kiss).
