This place has terrible service, mediocre food, and as of this review, a sanitation rating that should make you RUN. They have had B ratings twice in a row, and with their most recent they have managed to drop even lower than their previous B rating, with an 87. An 85 if their ServSafe certification gave them the 2 point bump. You can check out all the violations including numerous repeat violations on the Iredell County site. They are listed as Flavor House on the county inspection site. Do yourself a favor and choose a place that handles food safely and requires proper sanitation practices. Violations for food handling, improper storage of food, insufficient protection against rodents/insects, and hand washing station issues are not acceptable. Neither is poor service, wrong items being sent out, and long waits for your food. Spread the word that this place is a place to avoid, until they take basic customer safety serious, and provide a better level of customer service. The owners may respond, and just know that correcting items during an inspection means you just got caught and needed to do a quick fix. With two B ratings in a row, you can see they don’t take this serious. This review was based off numerous visits to this restaurant, and consistently poor service. I have years of past experience managing restaurants and working in various roles, so I understand what is reasonable, and what is not.

Amazing food, atmosphere was great, and did I mention the food! Bro it was like I was eating at my mom’s house back when she was cooking for us kids! Off the chain tenders and potato soup and then I tried the blueberry cheesecake(fresh!!!) which is in-house made I might add Fireworks in my mouth, dipping the tenders into that real potato soup with that real cheese on top if you want good Southern country cooking this is the place and the options are near endless it seems % going back!

Ordered the Spaghetti and side salad…First my salad came out with a short brown hair in it…then the spaghetti was watery…it was just meat and noodles. like no sauce? if that makes sense…uhmm….the service was great though. waiter very kind and understanding.

Flavor House was flavorful as it says every single item we all enjoyed. The hours are morning to mid-afternoon, as we went about 1100am on a Sunday. No big rush or busy as a lot of the church crowds and such were out or people had already eaten their breakfast. We ate breakfast right at the cut off time of 11 and they were excellent to accommodate us which shows amazing customer service. Not many places you go and feel like you paid what everything was worth, but we left doing so. The price for everything was average and not too expensive. A lot of mainly meals with individual items you can buy separately if you wished to eat with a meal. Service was excellent and was great all the way around. Parking, no wait at the time we went and seating is booths and tables, whatever you want, with plenty of room to accommodate a small mad rush of an estimated 50 or 70 people. We will return for either breakfast or lunch. Recommended as the food was very very good.

6 hungry travelers could have been happy with almost any type of nourishment. Unfortunately, all 6 agreed they would have rather driven another 2 hours before stopping for food.

The French toast was okay and my omelette was alright once I added salt. We had to wait an extremely long time for our check, then even longer for to go boxes.
I’m sorry if you are local and this is your favorite spot but as far as I’m concerned this highway exit is a food desert until I am proven otherwise.
And of course we’re seated under the coldest ceiling fans.

The food is mediocre at best, and the atmosphere is abysmal. I went out to dine with a party of 5, and several guests within the restaurant would make very rude remarks against us as we casually walked past. We felt extremely out of place, and we didn’t see anyone else there our age. If you are under the age of 50, don’t come here at all; the clientele are all geriatric and aged. I didn’t feel comfortable dining here, but the staff were all polite and attentive. I felt we were taken care of by our server, and they made sure that we enjoyed our food. I do not wish to come back here and I would never recommend anyone else to come here.

We drove up from Mooresville to purchase something from Checkout discount store ( which is amazing) thought we’d grab something to eat. We seen the restaurant and thought why not. It was a Friday so the Seafood platter was one of the specials. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! AND ENOUGH FOR 2 PEOPLE. My husband had one of the sandwiches with fries and he loved it!!! Service was great! Great atmosphere and even better $. Just a little over $30 ( no drinks, we had water) but still…..I highly recommend!

This was our first visit to Flavor House where we had a late lunch. We were seated immediately and our server, Tia, was very helpful. The chicken wings were tasty with many different flavors, and the fried flounder was good. The dining room is spacious and could serve many! The prices are reasonable and we will come again.
