Sierra was our hostess and bartender, and she absolutely set the tone. She has a groovy, joyful energy, gave first-class recommendations, and made the whole visit feel easy and fun. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows.
The food was outstanding. My wife has the BLT (Chef’s Special today) and it was transcendent! I had the cheeseburger with Hatch chiles, and it was everything it should be. Juicy, flavorful, and done right. The Cajun fries were perfectly seasoned and hard to stop eating.
Add to that a tap beer selection that honestly rivals most big city pubs, and you’ve got a place that punches way above its weight.
Happy Camper Grill is the kind of spot you don’t expect to find on the road, but you’re really glad you did. Great food, great people, and a place we’ll happily stop at every time we travel.
Grateful Traveler’s Note
The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was a local pub full of friends, and the good was delicious.
And, oh yeah, local brews on tap.
The peanut butter stout is well worth it. I had the two hazy’s. (I can only assume the selection rotates so your experience may vary).
All in all we will definitely go again the next time we are in Deming.
The beer selection is out of this world—seriously impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly, always welcoming, and more than happy to offer samples to help you find the perfect drink. I tried the blood orange cider today and could have easily gone for a second, but I was excited to explore something new—and it was just as delicious.
Both times, I went with the chef’s special. On our first visit, I had a pizza with an artisanal crust that tasted like it came straight from Italy—hands down the closest thing to authentic Italian pizza I’ve had in years. Today, I opted for the Vaquero salad, and the presentation alone was worth it. It came beautifully plated with a perfectly cooked steak that was packed with flavor.
I truly can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. This spot has officially become one of my go-to favorites.
The place had a large turnout that night so the service was a little slow because they were short on staff. However, they did a great job of managing the patrons.
I had the sausage pizza which was good. The pecan beer was a really unique beer with a good taste.
