Stopped in at Happy Camper Grill in Deming and had an excellent experience. The place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away.

Sierra was our hostess and bartender, and she absolutely set the tone. She has a groovy, joyful energy, gave first-class recommendations, and made the whole visit feel easy and fun. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows.

The food was outstanding. My wife has the BLT (Chef’s Special today) and it was transcendent! I had the cheeseburger with Hatch chiles, and it was everything it should be. Juicy, flavorful, and done right. The Cajun fries were perfectly seasoned and hard to stop eating.

Add to that a tap beer selection that honestly rivals most big city pubs, and you’ve got a place that punches way above its weight.

Happy Camper Grill is the kind of spot you don’t expect to find on the road, but you’re really glad you did. Great food, great people, and a place we’ll happily stop at every time we travel.

Traveling down I-10 and tried to find a non-chain place to stop for dinner. Saw the reviews about this hidden gem and it was great! Good sampling of local craft beers and a variety of foods to choose from. Would recommend!

It seems a little out of the way from the direction we came in but don’t be discouraged.
The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was a local pub full of friends, and the good was delicious.
And, oh yeah, local brews on tap.
The peanut butter stout is well worth it. I had the two hazy’s. (I can only assume the selection rotates so your experience may vary).
All in all we will definitely go again the next time we are in Deming.

Very attentive staff! Server noticed a fly had landed in our beer and gave us a new one. Food was great. Enjoyed sitting in the outside patio.

Off the beaten path, but oh so worth it. Our hotel recommended them and we could not have been happier! We both got the cheesesteak’s – they were hot & fresh, the freshly sliced meat & marinated mushrooms added just the right touch! Size portions were big and the filling. (Side note: continue down the gravel road, it’s desolate looking but you will not be disappointed) We will be back anytime we are in Deming!

My wife and I had an early dinner with a few beers on tap. I enjoyed an IPA and an Amber. While both beers were great, I truly enjoyed the Pecan Amber beer. My wife had the margherita mushroom pizza and I had a sirloin sandwich. The food was delicious and the beer was amazing. This place will become a regular for us as there isn’t anything with this type atmosphere in the area.

This place never disappoints! We just went back for our second visit today, and everything was just as amazing as the first time.

The beer selection is out of this world—seriously impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly, always welcoming, and more than happy to offer samples to help you find the perfect drink. I tried the blood orange cider today and could have easily gone for a second, but I was excited to explore something new—and it was just as delicious.

Both times, I went with the chef’s special. On our first visit, I had a pizza with an artisanal crust that tasted like it came straight from Italy—hands down the closest thing to authentic Italian pizza I’ve had in years. Today, I opted for the Vaquero salad, and the presentation alone was worth it. It came beautifully plated with a perfectly cooked steak that was packed with flavor.

I truly can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. This spot has officially become one of my go-to favorites.

First off, Happy Camper is tucked away in an area that looks a little sketchy. However it is a great hidden gem. The food was great and the beer selection was awesome.

The place had a large turnout that night so the service was a little slow because they were short on staff. However, they did a great job of managing the patrons.

I had the sausage pizza which was good. The pecan beer was a really unique beer with a good taste.

This was a great little stop. Not overly fancy from the outside, it turned out to be a quaint little place with a variety of food. The soda was in cans, and they used paper plates, but otherwise, everything was great. Don’t let the gravel road or small camper on the corner deceive you. Keep driving in!
