I’m Costa Rican and Cuban, the food I had here was authentic. Reminds me of my Dad and step mom’s cooking who are from Costa Rica. The food portions were a great size. Small place but looked nice and smelt great when I first walked in.

Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for Central American cuisine. The food is extra fresh with great taste. Especially love their hot sauce. Must go!

Nice little authentic CostaRican place. We’ll definitely go back! I just recommend the owners to be a little more extroverted with the guests as they seem a little too shy and introverted. Food was good, ceviche was amazing and the juice too.

In general, the food had great taste, but unfortunately the meat was overcooked. The waitress asked me what temperature I wanted the picaña, I said medium, and they gave me a steak that was hard to cut and chew. My husband ordered the chicken, and somehow the chicken was overcooked as well lol
The service was normal, nothing out of the ordinary. They didn’t ask us at any moment about how everything is going. We didn’t send the food back because we wouldn’t have wanted them to throw it away.
In a positive note, the cas drink was delicious 🙂

We loved the food and the service, we were looking for authentic costa rican food and oh boy we found it. It was beyond of what we expected, fresh food, delicious flavors and even fresh juices! We loved you can also find treats from Costa Rica to go (chips, candies, etc). My husband is from
Costa Rica and is hard to find a place like this so we are definitely coming back!
Our favorite was the empanada arreglada and the arroz con pollo!

Pura Vida Grill was my first introduction and taste of Costa Rican food. The restaurant offers a relaxing, yet lively atmosphere. The food is first class. The chifrijoes are bursting with flavor from the first to the last bite and are definitely my favorite. Love the flavor of the ceviche de pescado, carne tacos ticos, and oh my, the refreshing drinks: limonada con hierba buena and the limonada con fresa. To save the best for last – the staff is superb. Henry, the owner, his sister and his staff are humble, kind and very professional. My family and I have visited this location three times in the past month. I will definitely continue to return here.

I would have to go back and give them a second chance. The Cantonese did not have shrimp nor chorizo chino “Chinese sausage” as advertised. The waitress told me from the start that the rice did not have shrimp due to food allergies so I asked for the shrimp and she said it would be an extra charge. HA! How about a discount for not adding as advertised, hopefully the owner understands this is false advertising and could possibly have legal problems. It would have been easiest if they just told me they didn’t have the ingredients…. I still don’t understand what allergies have anything to do with me and why they didn’t add shrimp to the dish I paid full price for. $20 dollars for a house special fried rice is pricey to not bring shrimp. Hope I made my point about the shrimp and getting ripped off. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good just not what I expected as I know what a cantones from Costa Rica is and can clearly read what the menu said.
