Placed an order for a large turkey tip and link combo turkey tips were not a full order. The tips were full of fat with bone and no meat and the ones that did have some meat had a weird taste and texture all I could eat was the links and fries. I do not recommend this place at all

This is not to be confused with I57 RIB HOUSE(red bldg). I’m unsure if they are owned by the same people. The gentleman who took my order over the phone was very courteous as he was in person. I had the turkey tip/link combo with mixed sauce. The link was nice and spicy. The sauce was spread evenly over all the food. The turkey tips were amazingly meaty and good flavor.

This is exactly what I look for in proper local bbq! I just snuck in the last order of the night at 8:45. Got a tip and link combo. This is how I judge a place on first impression. And they did not disappoint! Rib tip with nice smoke and bark. The hot links may be the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few on the south side. I got the mix of mild and spicy sauce. Perfect balance. Has a thin vinegar based sauce with a bit of sweetness. Big fan. The man behind the counter was friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to go back!

To start I wanted to order my food when I got off work so it would be ready when I arrived. I let the phone ring All the way from the Hyde Park area until I made it to this location. When I arrived I just knew it was crowded and that’s why no one answered. Nope there was one person in the lobby. I politely asked the young lady at the window “are you guys taking phone orders” she answered with a nasty attitude “yes we are” and other things were said, ultimately her disposition was very nasty. She seemed annoyed and carried herself like she just didn’t wanna be there. I paid $24 for. Tip/link dinner and it was very disappointing. The ribs were huge and very fatty and had a peculiar taste almost spoiled and the hot link was not fully cooked. I gave it 1 star because the fries were hot and fresh. That was the best thing about the meal. Definitely won’t eat here anymore. This is not the same place I grew up on.

I own Flippin Flavors restaurant and ordered this for our family. Everything was AMAZING. The link was so tender and full of flavor. The tips were so tender and simply delicious. The sauce was on point. It was literally a perfect meal.

I ordered a large turkey tip dinner and was very disappointed to find out they gave me pork instead. I haven’t eaten pork in over 3 years, and I know the difference — turkey tips don’t have bones, and this clearly did. When I went back to get a refund, the staff refused to make it right. That’s unacceptable and shows a serious lack of respect for customers’ dietary choices and honesty in food service. I’ll definitely never order from here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who expects quality or integrity in what they’re served.

Why did they serve me TWICE a bucket order of overcooked bones when I ordered rib tips recently!? 80% of them inedible and hard as a rock. I gave them a second chance because sometimes there’s a bad cook or a bad day. I’ve been a customer of that location since the 90’s when it was Best Barbeque before the change to Smokehouse, but food is way too expensive not to warn people when the quality is iffy.

lets me this very clear, This is a pig body and i ask for Turkey. So with that being said the total amount was 15.99 with tax $18 the gentleman on his shirt says Manger gave him a $20 and he ain’t gave me my money i don’t care if it was.01 penny it was my money it was my choice to leave a tip, but you didn’t provide great service with a pork meal when clearly i asked for turkey.

This is the worst of the worst. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Ordered two dinners with Turkey Tips… what we got was fat, bones and sauce. I 57 Smoke House should be ashamed of themselves and close the doors. I have never seen so so so many pieces of fat and bones drenched in sauce. I don’t even think these were turkey….some sort of fatty tails.
We threw the entire dinner in the trash, where it belongs. If @Keith Lee is ever in Chicago again, I will have him put I57 Smoke House on blast —negative review blast. Again, shame on you, i57 smoke house.

I could have easily left 5 stars for all the meals previous to this rib tip bucket. My rating might change in the future. But the ribs I had bought Saturday were horrible. Best was the best but if the food ain’t good then don’t sell it. Quality matters to your customers. How can you sell ribs so tough and burnt to customers. That’s unacceptable it will be 1 star next time. That is bad for business. I changed to 1 star because I saw other customers experience the same thing. Y’all not running it right. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I never left a bad review or had a bad meal from Best BBQ. I’m so disappointed they would sell this. I will check back in 1 or 2 years. Un-alterd photo this is what they served me. I swallowed a piece so sharp I couldn’t believe it. I’m finding a new BBQ place.
