Ate here 8pm on 12/19/25. Disgusting. Bad even for Tex mex. Had the fiesta nachos. A loaded mess of store bought tortilla chips, canned refried beans, chorizo that tasted and felt more like a hot dog and unseasoned ground beef , with soggy lettuce. I picked at it. I told the bartender the nachos were not good. She just said “not good?” in response and that was it. Not even an apology. Not that I care but they didn’t offer to take it off the bill either much less offer a discount. This place needs to go out of business.

Good food, waiter was nice and friendly, our water was refill without us having to ask. My steak fajita came sizzling it was good.
The place is small but cozy.
Now the parking lot is tiny so it is a bit of a hassle, but food was worth it.
They have a mini bar with some chairs.

Food is incredible , but parking is tough. I went there for dinner and parked in bank parking lot next door. Generous portions and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I order the Sol Rancho nachos to go. What i received was ridiculous for the price. We called and the nerve of the person telling us what we should order next time. Maybe take it off the menu if you don’t want to serve it better. I can her better deal at Tex Mex or any other place. Stay away if you want mediocre sizes and cost you $$$ a lot more.

It’s OK. Pricey for Mexican food. The waiter didn’t offer the sides that came with the dinner. When questioned, he said, “Well what would you want?” No apologies, then he never brought it nor packed it up to go.
Also, no Mexican music, reggaton and Bachata. Rather go to “Margaritas” restaurant, for Margaritas, better Mexican food and mariachi.

I have been dining at Puerto Vallarta for years for the food, atmosphere and service. My absolute favorite are the enchiladas suizas. I’ve travelled many places in the country and personally never found any that were even close to how delicious these are in my opinion. The rice and beans sides that accompany it are great too. The chips and salsa are also to die for. I also haven’t yet found salsa that compares to the taste of Puerto Vallarta’s. Recently I’ve come for lunch on the patio several times in nice weather and received the best service from Esperanza. She is sweet, thoughtful, attentive and mild mannered. She has been wonderful in helping my young child, which I really appreciate. The music playing is always great and the decor is so cute. Love the warm weather covered patio seating!
Over the years there were many times when I would get off the LIRR late and pop in for dinner. Food and service have always been great even when they are really busy or near closing.

The food is absolutely perfect and the steak I had in my burrito was perfectly marinated. Issue is we had a sub-par waiter w poor service, one of us asked for extra cheese and did not get it, and the pitcher of margarita we got was weak and had barely any alcohol in it. Regardless, since the food is so good I would go again, just regular drinks and no special instructions.
