Well – I have to disagree with one of the recent reviews. They don’t know “how to do it”. Italian sausage on pizza should be clumped/loose and dropped onto the pizza and then cooked with all the other ingredients. Not sliced! If you have been to Chicago or New York – even Italy – you would know this important fact.
The pizza was good if you don’t order sausage pizza. If you love sausage pizza from Chicago or New York – you will be disappointed.
Service was good and we had no problem finding a place to park.

Love this place! Eating my calzone from there right now and it is amazing! The people are very friendly and delivery is prompt. The delivery man actually picked up a package and brought it to me when he delivered our food which was so nice since we didn’t know it was there. Best calzones AND pizza in Richmond!

I’ve been to Nonna’s several times and I have a strongly divided review. As for the food, the pizzas are nicely done, with a tasty, doughy crust and ample fresh toppings. Their baked pasta dishes are also enjoyable and are smothered in a flavorful sauce. The staff is always friendly and attentive. For all of this I would be happy to give them four stars.
One thing bothers me so very much that I am knocking two stars from this review. They allow, even encourage their “to go” patrons and delivery staff to park in the handicap spots in front of the restaurant. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have been there someone has parked in either a handicap spot or the hashed area that gives drivers room to swing open their doors. I have confronted both patrons and the management about this and I have been shrugged off. The management encouraged the patrons to ignore my requests to move. I vowed never to go back.
Reluctantly I was there this past week as part of a group. And without fail someone parked in the hashed area between the handicap spots. When I pointed out that our guest needed the room to get into her vehicle he moved his vehicle without incident. But he initially parked there without giving it a second thought. ARGHHH!!
I’m sorry that it is a poorly designed parking lot with insufficient parking. But that is no excuse on the part of the owners. It’s a disgrace and that’s a taste I cannot get out of my mouth.
