Plant s And other things
We wanted to visit this place ever since we moved up here. We finally made it on our anniversary. The location is very easy to get to. Dinner only but has happy hour. We barely missed it but oh well. The menu is plain simple, kind of “must have” items, which seems to simple but very bold move since… if you made it wrong, customers would not come back. They nailed those “simple menu” with full of their yummy-ness. The price is very average (“everything is expensive nowadays” average). I ordered special, prime rib. But it was $50! That’s a bit too expensive but I didn’t ask how much so… it was my fault. It was very tasty well seasoned and cooked though. The sauce came with was all home made (I was a chef before so I can tell). Service was… I would say very good for considering how many servers were for how busy it was. It was Friday too! The dessert was a tart which was also home-made. Very very good!! We would come back just for THAT!
After all, 4 ⭐️ just because I thought the prime rib (or special) was a bit pricy. We will definitely come back again.

Finally got to try The Pines! My ultimate favorite will be back solely for the Smoked Chicken Pasta – so creamy, full of flavor perfection. We were able to enjoy Happy Hour apps and drink specials in the main dining area (the hh pinot grigio was the best pairing for the pasta). The kids housed their burgers.
Service was attentive, and personable. The mood was comfortable and cozy. Parking was a situation with limited spots and a small lot, but they seem to have a plan as their reader board outside calls out to ‘ask about parking’.
I’m already dreaming of going back for more pasta…

We had such a wonderful experience at The Pines…I can’t say enough good things, especially about our waitress. She was an absolute sweetheart from start to finish: warm, attentive, and full of amazing recommendations. She checked in on us over 10 times (but never in an annoying way, just genuinely thoughtful) and made us feel so taken care of the entire evening.
We started with the smoked deviled eggs, and wow…packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. For my main, I had an arugula steak salad , and it was cooked to absolute perfection, tender, juicy, and seasoned just right.
And let’s talk cocktails. I ordered the “Through the Trees” and highly recommend it. Whiskey, well-balanced, and such a unique flavor profile. I’d come back just for that drink alone.
Between the cozy vibe, incredible food, and top-tier service, this spot is officially on my favorites list. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in for dinner place was busy which is always a good sign. Friendly staff. Had the roasted chicken with Brussels had them added a side of mashed .. perfect! The wife had smoked chicken and pasta it was super.
The only downside is I didn’t see the fried chicken the peole at the next table had until it was too late. I guess there will be a next time haha

Long time customers. As previous poster mentioned, the food has changed. Positive: Arrived at 5:57 and server still grabbed a few items from HH menu -steak bites and cauliflower – both very good- same as always. However, two items we love – fried chicken sandwich and french fries were completely different. We both had same so both chicken sandwiches very dry, no seasoning, no sauce – completely devoid of flavor – except a noticeable bad flavor. The french fries were a larger cut, and undercooked (as compared to years of previous visits). Understaffed and slow service, but this has come to be expected. Also they charge a premium for food in the Lake Stevens area at a bar/restaurant and it is ALWAYS freezing. Look around, – all of your customers have thick coats on. So because of the food being unsavory and overpriced, we won’t be back.

Very nice ambience! Went on a Thursday evening for some drinks and food and got a table for two easily (maybe around 6ish PM).
They have quite some appetizers on the menu which we made tried and all were good! A nice beer to go with the appetizers.
There was only one parking lot left when we reached. Not sure if they have any other parking, but the front didnt have many spots. So pls plan accordingly.
Coming to the main course, we were charged extra $4 for swapping fries with mashed potatoes when we ordered steak.
We would definitely go to this place once again and it did have good reviews, good food and service worth mentioning.

Worth every penny, every time! Food? Every item is delicious! Drinks? Ask for them to surprise you and you won’t be disappointed. Staff? Like family. Had an exceptional experience the last two times I visited and waited on by Carly. No matter how busy it got she made sure we were taken cared of one way or another. From the groovy wallpaper to the magnificent outdoor seating, it’s really a place than can serve as a fun dinner spot or a cozy date night. Small plate selections are absolutely to die for. Chef really knows what he’s doing back in the kitchen! I can see myself becoming a regular in no time!

Consistently great. The wings are always tasty and a very nice price on happy hour. Happy hour also has nice nice other options, the menu changes occasionally but not hugely. Seasonal drinks are fun, about 10 beers on tap, 5 rotators. Cozy with regular wait staff that have a great dynamic.
