My experience wasn’t the best here. Went to eat out with some friends and nobody was satisfied with their food. If I had to pick one meal that was so so, it would have to be the gnocchi with prosciutto. Beef wasn’t even the correct cut of the cow filled veins, chicken was made so simple that you could serve it for 3 days and instead of promised noodles were couscous. Parmigiana cheese decoration on Cezar salad wasn’t made the same day and was as stale as one could imagine. Have to leave 2 stars since we had no issue with our waitress. But service isn’t everything and food wasn’t up par. Don’t bother with the deserts.

It’s very unfortunate what they did to what used to be fabulous restaurant. The food is unbearable. As a family we always visit the old “Verde”every time we visited Stratton. Salmon was arranged in butter to the point of making you crazy and pork chop literally wrapped in a donut. Very disappointing and sad.

We had a great dinner at Carve last night. We had the oysters, crab, scallops and lobster tails. The lobster tails were perfection. My kids, 10 and 13, were happy also. They got the carve burger and lamb lollipops. The staff was friendly and service on point. We will be back.

The new Carve is such an exciting addition to the Village. We loved old Verde and we were disappointed when it changed hands. But the new Carve is nothing like what happened to Verde. The menu is inventive, delicious, comforting, fresh and a really wonderful, warm, cozy place to dine with the family after a day of skiing. Chef Joe introduced himself and cares a lot about the Stratton community. The entire staff was so friendly and fun to chat with, and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back and bringing the entire fam. Such a nice and delicious experience!

We have been eating at Verde for more than 10 years and had the chance this weekend to introduce a few of our friends to Verde. After reading a review from a recent diner, I was immediately concerned that I had made the wrong choice for dinner as this person complained of the quality of the food following a change in management. Whatever those issues may have been a month ago, I can assure you that Verde did not disappoint — an amazing meal for 8 of us with a great atmosphere and terrific service.

We spent 3 nights in Stratton, had two dinners at this restaurant and they were both great meals. Quality of the food was great, super nice people working there too, and that’s what mattered! Yes, maybe it took a bit longer than a NY restaurant to get your food, and it is run with a real ‘family feeling’ with the people working there (vs a ‘professional restaurant’), but while trying to unwind on a mountain, I wouldn’t have it any other way! (The specials were great on both nights btw)

1 star from me because it won’t allow me to do no stars. We used to eat here all the time. It was the best restaurant on the mountain. Unfortunately, with the new management it has taken a grave turn for the worse. It’s horrible and horribly over priced. My wife ordered a glass of chardonnay that was measured and $26! I can buy a decent bottle of chardonnay for $26. The menu is limited and what we ordered was inedible. I miss the old menu and chef. The lighting and ambience are terrible. Not to mention, the bowls and the silverware are right from the base lodge. Sad to say, but the food is comparable to lunch in the base lodge. It’s very disappointing as I would eat at Verde on a weekly basis. I definitely won’t be returning and suggest you go elsewhere until they make some major changes. Very sad as this was a mainstay on the hill.

This was our first New Year’s Eve experience here, and unfortunately, it left us disappointed. Despite the manager mentioning a message sent out via Resy about the limited $180 food-only menu, we never received it—only reservation confirmation messages. As a fan of filet mignon, I was let down by the dry and overcooked tenderloin, ordered medium and got well done. Additionally, there were no options for children. On a positive note, our server was very pleasant and helped improve the overall experience.

I’m only giving it 2 stars because the drinks were decent. Unfortunately this place has completely gone in the wrong direction. My family used to eat here every Christmas Eve for years until recently. We ate here the other day the menu was small and limited for both wine and beer. What we got was below average at best. Combine this experience with the insanely high prices and it’s a place you should avoid. There’s so many restaurants 20 minutes off the mountain towards Manchester that are 20x better. Not to mention they’re owned by locals rather than Stratton corporate.

Improving from my last review of 5 months ago. From an experience that was easily usurped buying street meat in NYC to slowly becoming the the Verde of old.

Staff is trying hard, but can still seem overwhelmed. Smiles all around though and real desire to make Verde a fun place.

The Pizzas and the Frito Misto are solid apres ski fare…

Had one meal to retest the water a week ago. Unfortunately the team culinary reach is still exceeding its grasp. A work in progress, but for the price, best if you’re not the Guinea Pig.

Sadly Stratton Corporate has done what they usual do, turn something good into some not so much. The infection is still prominent and it will take time for this to subside. But the team here is working on it.
