Baar Baar in LA truly elevates Indian cuisine to an art form. Their Indian tasting menu is a journey which is thoughtfully curated, beautifully plated, and exceptionally flavorful from start to finish.

Each course showcases bold, inventive flavors that honor traditional roots while pushing creative boundaries. The balance of spices, textures, and techniques is impeccable, and every dish feels like a delightful surprise.

The service is just as impressive. My waitress was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the experience they are creating. It feels more like being welcomed into someone’s home than just dining out.

If you are looking for a standout culinary adventure in Los Angeles, Baar Baar’s tasting menu is absolutely worth it. A deliciously unforgettable night!

Pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! Great modern vibe with Indian decor and open space. They had a special prix fixe deal when we went and really enjoyed all the dishes. The drinks here are pretty fun too and based on various Bollywood films. My favorite was the Lagaan that also came with a smoke-filled bubble. For food, I really enjoyed the Cauliflower and Butter Chicken. The dessert was really good too and would recommend the Mango Cassata. Overall, really enjoyable meal and good service too!

Took my wife to Baar Baar for her birthday and had an incredible time. Our meal was 10/10 but the service was beyond exceptional. Couldn’t stop talking about our experience the whole ride home! Will sing their praises to our friends & family.

I came to Barr Barr for LA Dine Week. The food was amazing, the service was equally great and the atmosphere was just right. Perfect for date night or business dinner with a friendly staff and great food.

The ambiance was stylish and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly. A nice touch was that they offered a complimentary champagne, which made the visit feel special.

The food and drinks were excellent, and the service made the experience very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Baar Baar to anyone looking for a great spot to dine in LA.

A Tale of Two Visits
My initial dining experience at Baar Baar was nothing short of spectacular! ✨ The entire evening was a joy, highlighted by truly amazing service and wonderful dishes. I left feeling impressed and eager to return.

Unfortunately, our most recent visit fell dramatically short of that high standard. While the quality of the cuisine remains impressive—the food is still undeniably very tasty and flavorful ️ —the service side of the restaurant was a massive letdown and significantly spoiled the overall experience.

The Service Disappointment
Our server, though seemingly enthusiastic, appeared more focused on their own agenda than on us as guests. They were very keen on giving recommendations, which I usually enjoy and am open to exploring, but they consistently ignored any direct questions we posed about the menu or our order. It felt like we weren’t being listened to at all.

The fundamental issue, however, was the inattention to basic necessities. Simple items like water and extra spoons were forgotten or delayed multiple times. ⏳ This constant need to chase down essentials was highly disruptive and frankly, unacceptable.

Final Recommendation
Given the premium price point of dining at Baar Baar , one expects and deserves a polished, attentive service experience to match the cost. Because of how things went this last time, I would currently recommend going elsewhere for a better overall value and dining environment.

That said, if you are a true food connoisseur who can genuinely tolerate and mentally block out frustrating service just to savor high-quality, delicious cooking, then you should absolutely still go for the food alone! Just manage your expectations regarding the hospitality.

“Bold flavors, subtle upbeat presentation, and cocktails you’ll remember!”Baar Baar LA offers a creative prix fixe Indian menu at $55 per person. I tried the Lamb Keema Hyderabadi (a bit watery but flavorful), garlic naan, saffron rice, butter chicken, and vegetable kofta—the koftas were tasty, though the gravy was bland. Dessert was the highlight: Gulab Jamun Cheesecake and Mango Cassata. The Munna Bhai MBBS cocktail stood out with its mango, chili, and smoky notes. Courses are well-paced, making for a relaxed, enjoyable evening.

We hosted a surprise party for my dad’s 80th birthday at Baar Baar this past weekend. The event planner was fantastic. She communicated with me often and ensured all details were executed nicely. The waiters were attentive and the service was outstanding. The private space was beautiful and allowed for my dad to mingle with all of his guests. I was a little worried that the food might be too inventive for my traditional family, but they loved it and raved about the unique dishes all night! Everything exceeded my expectations and my family is so grateful for the experience.

Ambience is beautiful and trendy. It’s a good date vibe but also appropriate for families or groups of friends. The food was delicious – everything we ordered was very tasty, and I prefer vegetarian food but I’ll happily admit that the Chicken Malai Makhani was to die for – it was cooked so right that the chicken just melted in the mouth. The Paneer Pinwheel was also delicious but for $30, you’d expect more than just 3 pieces floating in a sea of sauce. It also would’ve been nice to have more vegetarian options for pure veggie folks, but overall, I highly recommend Baar Baar.

Beautiful restaurant, great service! However the food leaves a bit to be desired. The appetizers were amazing! The taste was above and beyond the presentation. However the main course was quite the opposite. The pricy entrees were skimpy in proportion and nothing to write home about. The Paneer pinwheels were better than the shrimp malvani, which was super disappointing. Overall the meat items seem better than the vegetarian options.
