A truly pleasurable experience. We enjoyed the food and the service. There was no greeter at the door when we arrived, and that was a bit off putting because we stood there for 15 minutes before being acknowledged.
Our server, D, and another wait staff were friendly. D was attentive and timely. We wanted to start with the seafood cheddar dip, but they were out of it. We opted for the seafood fries. They were a 7/10. A bit soggy and didn’t stay hot. They may have microwaved them. It was a huge serving, and there was plenty of seafood. I had the catfish fish fry with mac and cheese, rice and beans and hush puppies. The rice and beans was 10/10. I ended up eating just those and part of the muffin and being full after the fries. The mac was good, and the hush puppies were tasty. The muffin was the only part of the meal that wasn’t a hit. It was hard and tasted a bit stale. My meal was a 9/10. My date had creamy pasta with salmon. It was delicious as well. Overall, FF gets a 9/10. I’m definitely returning especially for the rice and beans. They tasted super authentic.

Great fish fry– lightly breaded with 2 sides. Fun and interesting server, also informative and knowledgeable. Marked lower on atmosphere because music was a too loud for me… felt blues or jazz would be more appropriate for the ambience and the menu.
But I’ll be back. Intriguing listings.
Next time: Seafood fries for me, though will request half the cheese.

p.s. Sorry, but didn’t think to take photo until half done. Delicious haddock, light breading.

I went here today with my boyfriend and the food was indescribably sensational! I ordered the fried fish dinner with haddock, greens, and Mac n cheese. The fish was seasoned to perfection and the sides were BANGING. The chef absolutely threw down.

The service was also amazing too! Shout out to our server Q, he was very funny and attentive. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Loved this place. We went for fish and chips after a show at Shea’s. The food was AMAZING!! Very generous portions and fantastic flavors. Loved the atmosphere and live music. Most importantly the staff and owner were welcoming, friendly and hands on at ensuring our food and dining experience where exemplary. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

The service was amazing, and the food was even better. Our waiter was so kind and provided great recommendations. The seafood fries were unbelievably good. We live 1.5 hours away, but we’ll 100% be back.

We stopped in for two appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and the seafood fries. I was excited to see the fried green tomatoes because I have tried them in Nashville where they were phenomenal. These were okay compared to authentic fried green tomatoes. The seafood fries were okay. The waiter asked four separate times if we were going to order entrées. Based on other reviews we wanted to feel out the appetizers first. The place itself is fine. The booth was big and roomy. We only drank water. There’s one stall in the ladies room so someone was trying to open it while I was in there. For a mid day Sunday there were a good amount of tables open. Considering the quality of the appetizers I wasn’t too keen on trying an entrée as seafood can easily be something to mess up. Buffalo is a tough place for a seafood joint but this place has been in business since 2014 (as per the menu.) It’s hard being far from the ocean and making seafood dishes perfectly. I wasn’t a fan of the seafood on the fries and I bit down on something crunchy when the fries themselves and all of the seafood was on the softer side. Just a bit picky to have been super pleased. Glad we tried it.

Warm hospitality greets you at the door. Excellent food that represents an amazing fusion of soul food/comfort food that is as close to home cooking as you find. Did multiple lunch and dinner visits over two weeks when in Buffalo for work conferences. Delicious experience every time.

Great food. Ive had the following:

Fish fry – large portion, seasoned Cajun style. Fish tasted good and batter was nice. Sides of candied yams and rice were fantastic

Shrimp poboy – large serving of crispy shrimp. Mashed potatoes were good. Pictured below.

Management is usually busy but very kind and a joy to interact with.
