I’d give it a half star if I could. Purchased their pepperoni lovers. I believe on an oven baked pizza they place the pepperoni AFTER they cook the pizza. So meaning it is not fully cooked. This is what I observed. I also order a meat lovers.

Well my son and daughter both ate of the pepperoni lovers. My daughter ate first and immediately said she felt ill and threw up some. We thought nothing of it since it seemed to quick to be food poisoning. She discontinued the pizza.

Next my son had 2 slices without any symptoms…at first. He later called me to room later that night that he couldn’t focus because the room was spinning! His nausea was so bad he couldn’t even move! I immediately attributed this to food poisoning from the only item he had consumed…the oven baked pepperoni pizza. He threw up a lot of his food…getting most of the offending items out of his system.

We’ve never gone back to the place to date…that was this past summer.

The service was so bad I didn’t even try the food. We got in, 2 hours before close and the place was dead, and there were cleaning supplies all over the dining area like they were getting ready to close. We actually went in bc of the huge signs by the door that say “beer” “wine”. The cashier didn’t greet us but after we tried to ask about what kind of beer they have told us they don’t sell alcohol and that we’d have to wait a few minutes to order. No idea why but we just left.

I wanted to like this place. I live in Edinburg and sometimes I get tired of fast fried food and wanna walk somewhere. So my roommate thought of Luciano’s. Hurray I thought. Somewhere new!

The environment is great, which is really a shame. I’ll touch on why I’m a bit. Self serve soda is always a plus, same with forks, spoons, knives, and napkins. Wonderful!

So we order. I get baked zitti, nothing complicated. I order at 6:42 pm, ticket 10023. The salad I get is extremely basic. The dressing tastes like store bought and has way too much lime. Croutons have no flavor and I’m fairly sure the parmesan was days old. Extremely bad start.

But wait, there’s more! After waiting half an hour I go ask what the deal is since my roommate already ate his disappointing spaghetti. The cashier assures me my food is on my way and sure enough five minutes later I get my food. Surely it was worth the wait, right?

Maybe if we were in opposite world. The pasta itself was cooked correctly but that’s where the positives end. The sauce was bland and watery and the ricotta was laughable. Oh, did I mention the ricotta wasn’t even creamy? I believe that what was on my dish may at one point have been ricotta but the dish was an embarrassment to Italy.

So you’re probably saying “Clay everyone goes there for pizza, what are you doing!” We thought of that and got a slice of the most incredibly cheap tasting pizza I’ve ever put in my mouth. Think Peter Piper but with even more cost cutting measures.

Overall the whole experience was a waste of my time and money. I will never return and will advise others to seek out literally every other pizza place for their fix. Thanks.

They are the only pizza restaurant in town that even knows what a calzone is.
And it’s awesome.
Perfect single serving with a golden crust that just makes your mouth water to look at it.
It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in the Rio Grand Valley.

Every time I would call in an order and go in to pick up the pizza I would arrive and discover they “forgot” to make the pizza or I would arrive and they would start making it after I asked for my order which I had called in 30 minutes before. The food is good the staff just sucks, especially when there’s no customers in the place.

This place is the bomb!!! However… the Edinburg Location is slacking. “Service, marketing & delivery” the food is not always on point. Sometimes over cooked somethings undercooked. The 2 pizza and drink Combo is only good when the pizza is fresh.

The pizza is not bad but the service is terrible. There’s a lady that always answers the phone and she does not seem to care about the costumers at all. I have called to ask if they could make the pizza with specific toppings and instead of asking someone she just answered that she did not know and did not even try to help. She does that every time with every question.

I really like the pizza and the dessert options but sometimes they serve the pizza a little cold so yoy have to ask th to reheat it. Other than that, this place is really good.

First time there after passing by for a year. Very great first experience! The staff welcomed us and were very patient. Food was as excellent as the atmosphere and student deals are always appreciated!
