INCREDIBLE FOOD! The mochika chicken was the best thing we ate all trip. The portions were so generous and everything was hot/fresh. The shrimp and loco moco was also delicious. Don’t let the aesthetic or lack thereof scare you away. Everything was great.

During my trip to Hawaii, I visited this spot a few times and was thoroughly impressed. The food was flavorful, and satisfying. The beef curry stood out with its rich, well-balanced flavor, and the beef was tender. The shortrib was also delicious, though a touch on the sweeter side. Picking up my order was seamless, making it an easy option for a tasty meal. I would definitely return on my next visit to enjoy more of their dishes!

This is such a hidden gym. We found most of the viral spots on the island to honestly be overrated, but this was so good. We got the short ribs and garlic shrimp and honestly the shrimp here tasted so much better than the popular food trucks. The shrimp was peeled, perfectly cooked (juicy, plump and tender) and so flavorful without so much butter dripping out. Definitely come here

K and K Bbq is a cozy hole in the wall place not too far from the Kailua and Lanikai beaches. A nice family run business and very kind hosts.
Garlic chicken is nice and crispy with a good touch of garlic. Our serving was a little salty but overall delicious garlic chicken. Not a saucy garlic chicken like other places but almost like a dry rub garlic chicken.
Loco moco was delicious too. Paired with their Mac salad and rice, it was a good choice after a day at the beach.
Price is good for the portion size that you get for your meal.
Ample parking in their parking lot but currently no restrooms available. Port a potties located out in parking lot.

Dirty dirty restaurant, ordered BBQ platter and meat was over marinated and extremely fatty. Only good thing was the macaroni salad. Wife ordered spicy fried chicken and tasted like 3 week oil that had never been cleaned. Soda machine is disgusting and the entire place really feels like it needs a good cleaning.. Not sure how this place gets a 4.5 star rating.

The quintessential of a hole in the wall eatery, but what great dishes it serves here. You can create your own 2-entry combos and I had the mochiko chicken (fried chicken using sweet rice batter) and grilled pork chop. Both entries were so good. Both were very tender and full of flavors. Mochiko fried chicken is very different than karaage chicken that is more widely served in Japanese restaurants. Mochiko chicken is even more tender than karaage and tasted a bit sweet (from mochi rice). A must try if you are in the area. The combo came with rice and macaroni salad. One prior reviewer noted that this place has the best Mac salad on the island. I can’t vouch that, but it was extremely good. The service was very friendly and quick You can sit either inside with AC or outside with a nice breeze. Highly recommend if you don’t mind seeing empty boxes stacked all over the sitting area.
