Thank you for reopening! My wife and I have been sad to hear about the short closing . Your food and your hospitality are the best. I’ve been coming here for 20 plus years . Never a bad thing to say. Negrita is the best latin chef I have ever eaten from. I’m a chef myself and was born and raised in new Britain. As a white boy growing up in Corbin heights I was able to eat food from avery diverse amount of nationalities. Latin was the most enjoyable. For me this is my childhood memory that I’ve missed. Thank you guys for being here and giving me my childhood back bite by bite.

I would recommend everyone to go here more than once. Not only is the food a 10 out of 10, but the owner and his wife are just super amazing. It gives you the feel of being in Puerto Rico. The taste is phenomenal. The customer service is impeccable and I look forward to coming here again. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else whenever I’m in the New Britain area Thank you for such an amazing experience and continue to cook with all the love that you do it tastes Deliciously delicious ❤️

The food was decent, and the service, I think the female cashier behind the desk may have been putting up an act. She was like a coconut, hard on the outside, soft on the inside. She initially has a serious demeanor, and then when opening up a conversation topic, she quickly began smiling. OVERALL a decent experience.

Disappointed! Went there to get food and they are renovating. I called before to see if they were open but no answer. When I got there, there was a sign saying it was closed for renovations. They should have it posted on Google so people don’t waste their time. Oh well Mofongo got my money.

Amazing Spanish food. Everything was freshly made, some items bring brought out as we were ordering. A lot of food in the large portion size, enough for two people and maybe leftovers depending on how much one eats. Can’t go wrong with a home cooked, authentic food

New cooks working there. I find it’s nothing as I remember, beans is made like a soup with celery and tasteless. I think south Americans make the food now and you can tell. Miss the dominican/puerto rican flavor. The salted cod stew had so many fish bone, they do not clean it.

Their food is tasty and fresh. Great variety of dishes. Love their fritters and everything they cook. I get food there twice a week for my entire family for about $50. It’s a small place with huge Caribbean flavor. Their food is mostly Puerto Rican-Dominican style. I recommend it.
