Took almost 10 years in utah to find an authentic taco spot! No, this is not catered to Americans. If you want MEXICAN tacos like at grandma’s house, this is it. I highly recommend the taco gringa and al pastor taco. The elote cup was really good. Mexican music playing. I went on a Friday around dinner time and no wait.

We went there for Taco Tuesday since tacos were $2.5 each. When we went in though, they had a completely different menu for Taco Tuesday tacos that was not mentioned outside so that was very disappointing. Chicken, Birria, Pastor, and Carnitas were the Taco Tuesday selection. I got 2 Chicken and 2 Birria tacos, wife got also got the Mahi Mahi tacos. When our food came, the tacos were LOADED up with protein and veggies. I was surprised, and they tasted VERY delicious. It’s absolutely worth the $2.5, maybe even more. The only reason they get a 4 star is for the lack of transparency of what actual Taco selection has the special and the service at the counter. Guy was pretty rude and impatient. For the tacos, I highly recommend coming.

This is right next to Eccles theatre convenient for after or before a performance. We were recommended the burrito bowls by the attendant and I got the carne asada and my wife the shrimp bowl. The protein was ok decent flavor but the bowl seemed to have instant rice and canned pinto beans pretty bland flavor and I would not order again, to be fair the tacos looked better and those may be worth a try. Overall I was disappointed, I expected a more unique flavor and better quality for the location.

This was the first time dining here. We needed a quick bite before going to the theater.
We ordered a Super Nacho to share. The portion size was large, big enough to share.
The cheese wasn’t melted and the temperature of the food was cold to warm. We weren’t very impressed with the dish. Tasted plain and the meat was tough.
We won’t be dining here again.

I ordered the quesabirria tacos and elote. The tacos were much bigger than regular street tacos…more like standard size. Soooo flavorful & good. The elote was good, but it’s the tacos that will bring me back. My kid got the birria nachos and loved them! The serve-yourself salsa bar had some yummy options. Simple, easy, and delicious meal before heading to the Eccles Theater for a show!

Thick corn tortillas. Quality food. Great portions. Taco Tuesday (tacos for $2.50 each) is only valid for carnitas and pastor. Horchata is sweet and dark. Definitely becoming a regular here.

This place is out of this world. The tortillas are so delicious. And we actually walked in a few minutes after they closed, were on our way out and they flagged us to come back in to take our order AND gave us complimentary chips. Food is impeccable. The tortillas have such a unique corn flavor that adds so much to the already delicious toppings. The carne asada is cooked perfectly with a DOLLOP of guacamole. This place deserves 5 stars and more.
