Editing to add that I recently went there for the first time since the name change and I’m glad they changed it! Their service and atmosphere has also improved and food was just perfect!
So excited to finally have good Pakistani food in Victoria!! Everything is made fresh, the naan is just perfect! The most authentic Pakistani chicken karahi I’ve tasted here.
I was very skeptical when I first ordered biryani from here on DoorDash because of some bad reviews I read, but so glad I took a chance because it was the best biryani I’ve tasted here. I’ve tried biryani from many places in Victoria and I haven’t liked any of them until now.
Finally convinced my partner to visit in person and we fell in love with the food even more. My partner is not South Asian and he is now obsessed with this place. He’s the reason we ended up eating here 3 consecutive days even brought his siblings.
They do need to work on their customer service. I know they are in the middle of rebranding and revamping the restaurant, but all staff being in the kitchen while two new customers sat at a table for 20 minutes waiting for service is not a great look at all. Those people left without getting service and that’s a potential bad review right there. Other than that, really nice people and great food. Definitely my go-to Paki restaurant.

Came here with my family and ordered the family platter. The food is authentic as it is made with all the right spices. The biryani, chicken karahi and raita were absolutely delicious, the garnishing and salad was fresh and the nan bread was piping hot – just the way we like it. The quantity was more than enough for three people. We had a lot of food left over that we got packed and enjoyed for dinner. The restaurant seems like it was newly renovated. It had nice decor and was very clean. Our food arrived promptly and the service was good. This place is a hidden gem and I would recommend it to anyone who is craving Pakistani or Indian food. I will definitely go there again!

An amazing Pakistani restaurant—such a great find in a place like Victoria! The prices were very reasonable and the service was outstanding. We ordered the family platter, and everything was excellent. The biryani was incredibly flavorful, and the chicken karahi was perfectly made with tender meat. What truly stood out was the authentic Pakistani taste—no smell at all in the biryani or karahi, just clean, rich flavors. The naan was fresh and soft, and the portions were generous.
A special mention to Hafiz Ali, who was absolutely amazing with us and truly took great care of our family. His hospitality, warmth, and attention made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for real Pakistani food and great service in Victoria!

Yesterday I had beef nihari at Karahi and Curry Spot and it was absolutely amazing. The flavor was rich, authentic, and truly reminded me of real Pakistani nihari. The gravy was perfectly spiced, slow-cooked, and full of taste — exactly how nihari should be. You can tell a lot of care goes into their food. Special thanks to Ali for the great service and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Pakistani flavors. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

What a treat! We had a lovely experience at House of Chicken for an authentic Pakistani lunch this weekend. They serve my favourite curry – Chicken Karahi, which was delicious and aromatic. We got the malai tikka and chicken dum biryani as well, which were both so flavourful and came with generous portions. For sweets, we had the mango lassi (which was some of the best lassi I’ve ever tried) and the khoya kulfi, which was a condensed milk dessert. We can’t wait to come back soon!

We drove all the way from Nanaimo to try this restaurant for some authentic Pakistani cuisines however, food was surprisingly disappointing. As soon as we reached our destination, the plain , heartless branding yelled an opposite to the type of cuisines offered inside. The decor was predictable and downloaded-from-Etsy type. Temperature inside was too hot even when the restaurant was empty and despite of us asking mentioning it twice to the staff, lack of air conditioning was quite obvious. There were only one male and female toilets with no wheelchair accessible toilets which were also poorly maintained. The whole place yells of cutting expenses .
We asked the staff about the speciality and upon her recommendation, we ordered family platter with biryani , chicken karhai, nihari, malai boti with nans, salad and raita followed by kulfis and tea.
Biryani: had multiple flavour combinations of pulao in it and no resemblance by far with authentic biryani.
Chicken karhai: ONLY dish that we all unanimously agreed tasted better than anything.
Chicken malai : average regular taste and not as soft and creamy as it’s supposed to be.
Beef nihari: sorry ! As a Karachiite, this nihari was a shame to even look at hence i didn’t bother eating it. Was a disappointment as well for rest of the family.
Nans: ordered two baskets and both of them were over cooked to the point of being labelled as burnt .
Kulfis : we were pleased to see the shape but it tasted watery . No traditional flavours at all.
Tea: wasn’t strong and was salty. When asked for sugar only one packet each of Splenda and sugar was provided.
Additional drinks : «Lemon – Lime drink » was a twisted version of LLB drink but the inconsistency in ingredients quantities can be appreciated with each glass showing different shades of orange color .
Overall, it’s bit of a downer for me. I don’t think I would drive my family from Nanaimo to Victoria for this place.

Best naan we’ve ever tasted!! Lightly toasted crispness on one side and still light and airy. Good flavours in the chicken karahi (tomato & onion curry) and chicken biryani. The menu has fewer items than originally listed online. We will think of them whenever we crave delicious naan!

This place is serving delicious south Asian cuisine. My Goat Karahi – goat curry prepared in wok was so tender that meat was falling off its bone and Naan bread was oh so fresh. Service was pretty good too.

Tried their single goat karahi and single chicken biryani. Both of them tasted really good. The portion sizes were okay ish for me but other wise it was good. They have options for single / half and full sizes for karahi’s.
