On 11 December 2025 I visited the Popeyes location #10686 Building 4230 P.O. Valley Road Fort Drum NY at 1:44 PM. I ordered a 12 piece original thighs and drums only, I was told that there would be a wait in which I replied that I didn’t mind. Approximately 20 minutes later I returned to pick up my order and drove to Watertown NY and when I arrived I noticed that I had received 6 wings, 4 drums and 2 thighs. I have had this issue several times which is the reason I chose to order inside of the store instead of online however the results were the same.

We order about every other Saturday for lunch. The food quality is good. However…without exception the order is always missing something. The whole purpose of the drive through is to be able to quickly pick up your food and be on your way. I understand they are busy and at times I am asked to pull forward to wait. Because I don’t trust them to fill the order properly, I am forced to tear into the bag and go through it item by item. Usually it is the sauces but quite often a side. Today it was some of the chicken. Every time I am forced to exit my vehicle, go into the store and proceed to wait in line (sometimes 10-15 minutes) to go haggle for the rest of my order that I already paid for. Today it was 2 sauces and a 2 piece chicken. Also the popcorn shrimp has been reduced to a very small container for $5 plus dollars. Won’t be purchasing that again. I understand that things can be overlooked especially when you are busy but a 100% failure rate is unacceptable. When you are paying $30+ for lunch for 2 people you expect a higher standard.

I order from here often and the food is usually up to par. However, the staff and the sides can be questionable at times. Tonight’s order of Mac n cheese is total mush! The noodles are severely mushy and it all went to the dump for that reason. I understand this establishment is busy but a little more effort please

Food was good I had order 2 medium chicken sandwich meals, the older lady who was taking my order kept rushing me asking if that was all when I was still Cleary ordering- there was no line behind me so still felt very rushed. She rang me up as 1 large and 1 medium, I tried correcting her at the pay window and I let her know it was 2 medium she said okay lemme fix that. Got my receipt was still charged as 1 large 1 medium got my food both were mediums. So definitely felt robbed i tried letting the younger lady know and she was like yes the food is medium and wouldn’t listen to what I was telling her that I was still charged for a large. Ended up giving up after she told me bye and closed the window so food was decent, people and atmosphere horrible

I would say the way they serve food is way different before; chicken sandwich felt like it was on the microwave, the fountain drinks felt off and taste like 80% water, and the way I eat the chicken is like eating plastic chicken flavor. They served fast I can give them that but they need to consider the food if it’s genuinely good to serve.

I went to Popeyes during lunch today and when I got to the window I was told to pull forward because the popcorn shrimp had 1 minute left. I sat at the curb for about 15 minutes and then decided to go in. Upon going in people that I seen walking in had gotten their food and was already eating. I stood in line for another 10-15 minutes when the girl from the drive through finally seen me and asked “were you waiting by the curb” to which I replied yes and she started to make my food. When I received my food everything was cold. The popcorn shrimp containers are now different and half the size they used to be but doubled the price. I will NOT spend another dollar at this establishment.

Many times they give me food that, obviously if you know anything about food, is a bit old. Or they give me something wrong, especially spicy food. And they always say, “Oh, we don’t have this or that.” Honestly, I don’t want to buy from them anymore.

Would rate 0 if possible. The staff needs to keep working instead of focusing on closing when it’s not time to close yet, I went 1 hour before closing time and they said they ran out of wings. I heard the manager on shift said to the employees that the customer needs to learn how to order before the close. Such a bad way to manage a food place.

Only giving a 1 star because I can’t leave zero stars. Me, my wife, and son waited in the drive through for over an hour….this is unacceptable and a huge inconvenience. I don’t understand why it takes so long for a drive through order. Will not be coming here again. I’d rather drive off post and get Popeyes elsewhere.

There was nothing over the top about the visit, or any visit for that matter (I have eaten here twice but tried about four times). They were not offering what I wanted although the team member did make a recommendation. The inside always looks clean (although the cleaning products are out in plain sight). I was satisfied enough that I will come back again however, the hours are whack…this is a military installation, they close at seven during the week and five on the weekend! WHOA
You advertise a new side item, rarely have it in stock, charge $1+ more than the regular sides and give less…something doesn’t add up here!
On another note…Popeyes should really bring back corn and green beans for those customers who don’t want a whole meal of carbs.
I will give a shout out to cahier Simone. She was trying to manage the line I think though that there should be more than one cashier during rush hour. Just a thought…
