I’m Asian & I’ve lived in Paris — arguably the second pho capital after Vietnam — so I know. The broth here is exactly what it should be: deeply aromatic, fragrant, and clearly simmered with care — the kind that only happens when someone actually respects the craft.
The food arrives quickly, the flavours are authentic, and the place has that easy, no-nonsense Vietnamese restaurant energy — swift but still warm & friendly.
Aberdeen might not be where you expect to find excellent Vietnamese food, but Viet An absolutely holds its own. This place holds great memories as it is our family’s go-to whenever we visited our son who studied here.
Highly recommended.
Order the pho. In fact, order anything. Trust me.

Had an amazing meal here tonight. We got the Pork fried rice, Beef short rib Pho, Chicken Pho and the Chicken Bánh Mì. Food came quickly and was honestly so good can’t recommend enough.

Village Mentality
Went for a birthday dinner and everything was amazing! Staff was so kind and helpful, the food was amazing (our table was silent the entire time while eating because it was THAT GOOD), seating and views were good! Definitely a good option for a night out, date night, or to try some amazing Vietnamese food.
