We ordered three of their regular Steak Frites (180g Australian filet), along with Soup à L’oignon Gratinée, baked potatoes, and fresh orange juice. The meal started with warm, crispy bread and good butter, followed by a fresh green salad. The steaks were cooked medium, very tender, and served with Couqley’s signature sauce, which is always a highlight. The fries were crispy and tasty, and the onion soup was flavorful and comforting. The orange juice was fresh as well.
Service was professional, friendly, and attentive, which added to the overall experience. They also have an outdoor seating area with a nice ambiance, but it was too cold to sit outside this time.
Prices are on the higher end, but the quality of the food and service generally reflects that. Overall, Couqley remains a solid choice for French cuisine, steak lovers, and anyone looking for a reliable dining experience in Dbayeh. Their menu is broad, and we’re looking forward to trying more dishes on our next visit.
A special thank you to Luigi, who is also the assistant manager and served us during our visit. He gave us the best experience with outstanding customer service, genuine hospitality, and an impressive knowledge of the menu. His energy truly elevated our evening and made the entire dining experience unforgettable.
We ordered the steak and frites, chicken and frites, French onion soup, and pain perdu for dessert. Every single dish was exceptional. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender, the frites were golden and crisp, and the French onion soup was rich and comforting. The pain perdu was the perfect sweet ending to a beautiful meal.
The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, with a Parisian charm that makes you forget you are in the heart of Beirut. Whether you are celebrating something special or simply craving authentic French cuisine with top-tier service, Couqley Bistro Parisian is a must-visit.
Bravo to Luigi and the entire team. You have truly earned every one of these five stars!
The atmosphere is nice and the new branch is very cozy
But the food isn’t really good
The mushroom poellee is good
Onion soup is really good and authentic
The truffle fries is a joke , a little drizzle of commercial truffle mayonaise for 9$
The steak is good, but not up to standard
The sauces are very heavy and the fries are very hard
Compared to 5/6 years ago, the quality has declined very much
The outdoor seating is nice, staff are friendly.
Tried ️:
Steak frites: medium- their sauce is what makes the difference
Goat cheese salad
I still prefer Mar Mkhayel branch in terms of atmosphere and seating area.
Service was attentive and professional throughout, with staff demonstrating genuine care and attention to detail♥️
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional culinary experience.
