This place gets an extra star just because the tamales are good. But honestly after I just ordered one of their combo plates I can’t help but think I got soup instead of a tamale and a crispy chili rellenos (not crispy btw, glad I spent 50 cents extra), I’m also pretty sure I’m supposed to get an enchilada in here according to the menu I was reading….

Smothered burrito was packaged upside down and not properly closed so by the time I got home it was all in the bag. $13 wasted! Last I will be coming here I am so upset!

I used to order pick-up from Tamale Kitchen for my family and the guys at work and it was consistently good.
Then, I retired and found delivery. Still great tamales and red sauce and a crispy chili rellenos. I ordered the combo lunch.
I like this place too because they let me ask for the sauce on the side and I asked for beans, no rice and that’s what I got!
Ok, I was going to order 6 tamales but the price was a good bit more and I thought I’d just order two but they were twice as much.
I don’t know what that’s about but next time I want to order tamales with sauce on the side, I’ll pay it.
Meanwhile, I’m very happy with my combo plate.

Horrible… For a place that calls themself Tamale Kitchen, the tamales are horrible… They are 90% masa… $24 per dozen…
Ever since I moved to denver, I’ve wanted to try them, the worst part of the entire experience was the horrible way they treat you when you complain..
By the number of negative reviews, I can see I havent been the only one with bad experience…
This place is a Joke… Dont waste your money here…

The cashier was wonderful. My chorizo, potato, egg burrito was only a potato burrito with scrapings of egg and chorizo. We took it home so haven’t had the chance to go back. Extremely disappointing and frankly a waste of money, given all of the reviews about how good the breakfast burritos were.

The restaurant was very unwelcoming even from the parking lot as they had more than half the lights off. I walked in and was overwhelmed by the smell of backed up sewer. Having driven quite a ways I still asked the girl at the counter if this location offered the option to deep fry the burritos she quickly said no as she looked up from her phone. We asked if the menu at this location was significantly redacted and she waved us to a laminated menu and again returned to her phone could not even be bothered to make eye contact or hand us the menu… if you are expecting anything close to the menu or service of Lakewood, North Denver, or Westminster DO NOT COME HERE.

First visit and not bad for quick mexican. Obviously had to try the tamale which was the best part- pork in red sauce. Tried a side of chicken enchilda, rice beans and a beef burrito. Good overall comfort food. Prices not too bad for location.

Super quick to bring food out. Good handheld beef burrito… Steak taco was great with the salsa… And his smothered tamale. I poured the rest of the green chili into the burrito as there didn’t seem to be much green chili in the burrito even though I ordered it with some

Delicious for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Known for the tamales, I love their burritos. The green chili is amazing! Get your food smothered with green chili & cheese, you won’t regret it.

Great beans; rest of food is very good. Go early to get tamales. They sometimes run out on holidays and make a second batch. They’re a high demand item. Usually a pick up and go; though there is some seating. 8/17/2025 update: had the beef burrito, stuffed full & fat. Sauce is phenomenal. As usual, fast service. Really good when you need something quick, easy, and satisfying.
