Great little place for breakfast and lunch. French toast was really good. My family got a breakfast sandwich that was a huge portion and an awesome turkey club with avocado. You order, get a number, seat yourself, and bring the food. I also got a carrot cake muffin that was really good. Great tea. Better coffee than the overpriced Starbucks or Panera next door. Here’s to the little guys who do it well.

We love to come here after we take our fur babies to dog beach in Coronado. We have been coming here for many years and the food is consistently great! Tried the Milanesa Torta today and it was big and absolutely delicious. My husband had the breakfast burrito and it was great too. We also had a palmier and a cinnamon roll and both were scrumptious! I’m glad they have to go boxes because we only could eat half of our meals!

A culinary quest, or so it seemed,
Of emerald green and chocolate dreamed.
I sought the crunch, the toasted gold,
The story that the viral videos told.

But at Villa Nueva, the vision died,
A hollow shell with nothing much inside.
Where was the kataifi, the buttery thread?
A ghostly whisper of texture instead.

Instead of the rich, deep cocoa glow,
They let the white chocolate overflow.
A milky mask for a missing crunch,
A disappointing end to a hopeful lunch.

Too much pale sweetness, too little bite,
It didn’t sit well, it didn’t sit right.
For a “Dubai” treat, it missed the mark—
A flicker of flavor, then out went the spark.

As a San Diegan that now lives in LA, this place reminds me of old Coronado and the calm, quiet San Diego before the hype moved in. Everything is reasonably priced, but the food is incredible. Super fresh, everything is perfectly made, served hot. And they have these huge lattes but they aren’t watered down. They actually add enough shots to still make it taste like coffee. It feels like my grandma’s kitchen. Could eat here every day of the week.

Went here for brunch on our first day to Coronado. The lady at the counter was pleasant. Food took a little long to arrive but I guess that means it’s freshly prepared.

We ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich, Granola Bowl which came with a Muffin and Chicken tenders with Fries.

The coffee was okay.

No toilets in the restaurant, had to use Starbucks’ next door.

‼️BEST BREAKFAST CROISSANT EVER‼️

This classic bakery has its own fun vibe and very fresh tasting food. If you don’t get hooked on their delicious cookies you’ll become addicted to their breakfast croissants the way they make their ’s fresh and buttery gives the scrambled egg, bacon, ham or sausage filling a flawless base. One bite in and you’ll wonder why anyone else can’t make em like that. It’s literally the very 1st stop I make anytime I visit San Diego and has never disappointed me. Try it out! #YoullThankMeLater

I wanted to love this place! I really did. We had walked by the day before and saw people eating and it all looked so good. So we went today. Long line. Very slow moving. We had a bear claw (tasted old), an apple maple muffin (the top was good, but the muffin tasted like a Costco muffin), pancake sandwich (dry pancakes and cold eggs), and a Greek omelet. The omelet was very watery and the potatoes that came with were just ok. The omelet and potatoes…somehow were flavorless. No flavor! I had to douse them in salt and pepper. We would not go back here.

Very small restaurant and bakery that serves a very delicious muffins, a little bit sweet for my taste buds but they were good, they have breakfast and an excellent customer service, I didn’t have the chance to try their plates as i just bought their pastries but I was told by the customers eating there that the food was good so I will try it more in the future and I will post an update.
