Now they know what they doing when it comes to the Steak Scramble bowl! Stopped here for brunch after my 5k and it hit the spot. I also enjoyed the Banana Foster French Toast – YEP! GET BOFFUM! We spent over $100 at Parkside in Wendell Falls, and unfortunately the food didn’t match the price point. The bread was soggy from liquid coming off the broccoli, the fried pickles were unusually large and sweet instead of salty, and the pimento cheese with crackers tasted more like refried leftovers than something fresh. Even the salad wasn’t fresh, which was surprising.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, the service was good, and the location is excellent — but the food quality just didn’t come close to justifying the cost. This was $30 food, not $100 food. We won’t be frequenting this place again.

Very accommodating staff that was able to help sit all ten of us.
Each dish was large, filling and made with the utmost care with the customer in mind. However, in regards to other factors of food I can speak for the “Center Cut Top Sirloin” (Medium Rare) w/ Buttered Corn and Broccoli.
The steak, being a 10 of. piece was thick, juicy and rich with flavored and accented with a spicy pepper flaked over it. The broccoli was seasoned as well with a tangy sauce while the corn was so sweet and juicy!

If you are in the area, I highly suggest checking this place out for either their brunch, dinner, and/ or biscuit menus!

Not very busy but nice quiet atmosphere. Multiple TVs for sports watching, nice turf area just outside for children to play. The service was good, as was the food. I like my deviled eggs and bit sweeter but they were still good. The chicken wings are huge! Salad tasted very fresh. I would eat here again.

This place has turned around. Six months ago, I wasn’t sure it would survive. But it feels like there’s been a change in management and staff, and I’ve visited several times since then. The food and service have both improved dramatically…it now reminds me of the original downtown Raleigh location

I love having Parkside right here in Wendell Falls. They have everything from great appetizers to burgers and sandwiches to large plate meals. They have expanded their wine by the glass menu and have great cocktails and whisky Selection. My husband likes their burgers with tots and I love their baked haddock with two sides.

UPDATE: Mike gave me another outstanding experience tonight, and Todd the manager on duty, is handling it very well considering they are super busy. The other two waitresses and a few people from the kitchen were friendly to me also. Thank you for making me want to come back!
Another excellent restaurant to enjoy a meal in the raleigh area! This was really good food at a great price with a great atmosphere. Maya is an excellent waitress/ food server and she made the meal entertaining and enjoyable. I enjoyed deviled eggs, fried pickle spears, and an incredible steak salad! I didn’t see the bathrooms, but the restaurant is extremely clean and organized and the food was outstanding. Several other employees didn’t acknowledge me, including the manager, but it’s okay, Maya made it a GREAT meal and there’s no doubt I will return many times. There is at least 20 other items on the menu that looked delicious to me and I hope you will go to Parkside Restaurant and enjoy a meal. They have a full bar and a huge drink list. There’s not a lot of parking directly in front of the restaurant, but it seems like there’s plenty of parking around. Lots of others stores and buildings with parking nearby.

Had a girls day lunch and this was the restaurant that was chosen! We sat outside which was very nice, our waitress, unfortunately I can’t remember her name was very attentive, but the restaurant wasn’t that busy at that time so it was more doable. The food was decent, I had the one of the bowls and added Salmon, it was very tasty, i cleaned my plate. One of the other ladies had the fish and chips, but she didn’t care for the batter, she peeled it off and ate the fish, then the third lady with us had a bowl as well and she really enjoyed hers. Nice atmosphere, we will be back!

This is a hard review to write because I do like this place. The problem is, you either get a REALLY GOOD meal or a REALLY BAD one and there doesn’t seem to be an in-between.
I’ve had meals brought to me that were so overcooked, they were inedible. They also can’t cook a steak right to save their life.
My last visit, they were out of the dish I made the trip there specifically for, so I ordered the ribeye. 16oz ribeye sounded pretty good. To my surprise, they brought me out a bone in 16oz ribeye. The bone was the majority of the steak and somehow, they managed to make one side well done and the other side medium at best. I ordered medium rare. I did point this out to the waitress and she brought over someone else so I could point out that the steak was not cooked correctly and its not advertised as a bone in cut. They both acknowledged what I was saying but they didnt do anything about it.
But sometimes they nail it. It seems to depend on what you order and who’s working in the back and whether or not they are out of what you want to order.
All in all, if you feel like an adventure, try this place out. It might be amazing or it might be one of the worst meals you’ve ever had.
