Alicia and Adam have a “gem” of business service up great wine and beer with outstanding desserts and charcuterie boards. The “wine club” is Wednesday evening fun, great tastings and recommendations from a wine pro. It is a fun “meet up” with friends! Kerry, Katie, Nancy and Wendy are always pleasant and professional behind the bar and keep the wine flowing. Perusing the local art is fun and Adam Hawley’s big screen videography of Topsail Island is simply awesome – waves, clear water, fish, sharks and Lea Islands view will not disappoint. It is always a great time and fun meet up at Locals! Always on the recommendation “go to list”!!!!

Phenomenal selection of wines with an amazing staff. Craft beers are available if that’s more your thing. Great local artwork from over 30 different artists. This is a must-stop and great alternative for folks who want to go to a brewery and have friends who would prefer a glass of wine.

It was Saturday night at about 7:30. My wife and I are getting a pizza to take home from a nearby restaurant. We had never been to Locals and decided to stop in for a glass of wine. There was not a single person there besides the person behind the bar. As we enter, she never looks up from whatever she is looking at behind the bar. Cellphone, book, possibly knitting, who knows? We ask to see a list of wines they offer. Still, never looking up, speaking, or acknowledging our existence, she points to a QR code. At this point, we decided it was not a very inviting place and leave. As we look back, she continues to stare at whatever has her attention. No wonder the place was empty. I could only assume this was an employee and not the owner.

Went with a girlfriend for mimosas! The CUTEST, upscale, modern, quaint and relaxing environment! I loved seeing all the local art on the walls, the mimosas on TAP! What?! Fantastic wine bar! Good selection of both wine and beers with friendly staff. Great place to hang out. You can also order pizza from the place right next door and they’ll walk it over which is very convenient. My wife and I love hanging out here, and they also have a great selection of art which adds to the relaxing atmosphere

Such an amazing spot! If you are in the area it is definitely worth the stop. There are 17 different artists that have their art on the walls. A diverse but elegant wine list with good prices per the glass and bottle. You won’t have issues finding a beer you can enjoy with some local pizza from Margarita Pizza Co.

Locals is my go to spot! It is a nice, relaxing environment with beautiful art and photography from local artists. There is a great beer and wine selection, plus they now serve charcuterie and desserts. If all the above isn’t enough to get you to check this place out, the owners and staff are wonderful and welcoming as well!

Great spot in Topsail/Surf City to grab a glass of wine or beer with friends and take in some amazingly talented local artists. The wine list is spot on, the staff friendly and the local artists are extremely talented. Walk in for wine and walk out with a piece of art! Will definitely be back again soon and love seeing other locals supporting local businesses.
