The team is cool and genuinely helpful with recommendations, which makes the whole experience better. I also love the décor—it’s fast-casual, but still stylish and fun, not your typical grab-and-go spot.
The fries are solid, the shake was fantastic, and everything came out quick and fresh. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to and one I’m happy to highlight as @DonnyLB (IG/TikTok).
Smashburgers were great; nice and crusty on the edges, but the center was still rather moist. I feel like the bun doesn’t hold the burger too well though, it just seems flimsy as a burger bun. The J&S had a good flavor to it, maybe a bit too sweet, but overall the bbq sauce complements the crustiness of the burger real well. I would recommend getting at least a double; I feel that a single just isn’t enough meat-to-bread ratio, given how flat these burgers are.
Chicken sandwich was really good; juicy with a bit of a kick. The slaw contrasts the spiciness of the chicken well, but like the burger, the bun just doesn’t hold up too well in my opinion. Also its less ‘chicken sandwich’ and more “large chicken strip in a bun”, so while it was sloppy, it was still good.
Fries were nicely salted, but on both occasions(1 which was dining in), the fries were not crisp, so that’s kind of a big demerit for me. Milkshake was good, but nothing mindblowing; just a standard soft-serve milkshake.
Their burger is very very flat, and that gives it a niche that makes it good, but I still think Iceburg(on Outer Drive/Pelham) crafts a bit of a better product, far as its smashburger, fries, and shakes, though its not in the heart of downtown Dearborn. Still can’t go wrong with Level 0 if you are downtown Dearborn and looking for a crusty burger to fill your palate.
Pro-tip: If you want to add a little spice to bacon jam burger, ask them to add jalapeño, it becomes a combination of their two top burgers.
