Amazing place. The food and service is TOP OF THE LINE. We went on a cold day and decided to order soup, tea and a few entrees. The food was hot and flavorful and everyone there was so friendly. We will be back (if I was local to the area, I would dine there regularly). Very good Indian food restaurant.

This is my first time eating Himalayan food. My girlfriend and I decided to come here for our first anniversary together and let me tell you: the food is amazing and the staff are kind hearted and welcoming! I recommend getting their Naan and tandoori meals. They give you three options of spice: mild, medium and spicy. Also, if you’re married, or in a relationship with your loved one, make sure you get a carrot pudding to share. Definitely coming back next time and the best restaurant in King George!

The food was delicious and staff were warm and friendly. The interior was very well decorated and provided a very peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. I ordered the Nepali Thali set and got a delicious variety of Nepali foods. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken. Some of the best butter chicken we ever tasted! We were visiting from out of town, but I would make the trip again just to eat here again. It was highlight of our trip!

Taste of Himalaya is our absolute favorite restaurant in King George! We’re soooo happy they opened here. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They always make us feel like family. They’ve never steered us wrong when making menu choices. Everything we’ve ever had and I mean everything from the appetizers to desserts was delicious. Do yourself a favor and stop by today. Excellent food! Clean restaurant. I have eaten here 3 times now and each dish was perfectly cooked. I am not a fan of spicy hot food. I ask for mild always. Plenty of spice flavor without the heat. My husband loves it hot and if your a fan of spicy hot this is the place for you. The cucumber salad is awesome fresh and filling. We order as an appetizer.

Everything was very beautiful from the scenery, to the professionalism of the staff… fabulous atmosphere. When the food came out (i ordered Vindaloo extra spicy with lamb) it was a healthy portion of some of the best vindaloo I’ve ever had. Lamb cooked to perfection and the appetizer of gizzards are also worth giving a try! Great for a date night, special night, or any kind of social situation.

The food was excellent, the service was friendly and attentive and we were very happy with the experience. Every dish we had was flavorful with seasoning and herbs. It was refreshing and addicting.
We will definitely be coming back and ordering frequent take out.

– Chilli momo*
– Chicken vindaloo*
– Chicken Biryani*
– Gaza Halwa
* we ordered our food at the highest spice level and it was very well done. Not painful or spicy enough to make you sweat/sniffle.

This place is an *unexpected gem* to find out near Fort Walker (formerly AP Hill). We love India food and have visited several Nepalese restaurants. I usually prefer Indian food over Nepalese but this place changed my mind. The food here was excellent, and I will say right off that we are already planning to go back so we can try a greater variety of what they have to offer. This time we ordered Mango Lassi, Fried Chicken Momo, Nepali curry with goat, lamb Korma, lamb Tass, herb Naam with Raita, and Kulfi for dessert. The Nepali curry was truly special, as was the kulfi. Both were flavored with cardamom and really showcased the different aspects of this spice. The staff was friendly, and the owner was personable and inviting. I’m glad they are part of our community. The atmosphere is pleasant and unassuming. Overall, the food was great, and even though we live an hour away, we can’t wait go back. Thank you!
Edit: On our second visit, we ordered Samaya Baji, Nepali Thali Set, Goan Curry with fish, and Lamb Saag. Everything again was wonderful, but the Goan Curry really stole the show, so rich, creamy, and well balanced. The lentils in the Nepali Thali may have been the best lentils I’ve ever had. I went back for seconds, and I usually can’t stand lentils. The special Naan was the perfect dessert to this meal. The filling appeared to be blended to a fine paste and really made it stand out over others I’ve had that left the filling chunky. I love visiting this place, they make us feel at home, and the experience makes for a memorable date night. Thanks again!

Went here for the first time yesterday, did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we had samosas, pork sekuwa and chicken tandoori. Everything was excellently cooked and spiced. The staff and owner were very friendly and offered some good advice on what to eat.
Decor was colorful and the inside was clean and neat.
Forgot to take pics of food as it looked so good we just dug right in.
Do recommend, and will be returning!
