Ate here last month with some friends and loved it. I got the veggie sandwich and it was so good and actually very filling even though it didn’t have any meat, which was perfect!!! Their mac and cheese is also very delicious. I also got a Caesar salad and loved it. This definitely seems like a newer location because it was very modern and clean and seemed newer. They even had plug-ins to charge your phone built right into the table which was pretty cool. Would definitely come back here again and this is in a great location in Lee’s Summit near KC.

I love McAlester’s so much
99% of the time they get it right but this time we ordered online and they forgot our brookie, cookie, and carrot cake.
I should have checked the bag but I didn’t, and they were closed by the time we got home.

This Lees Summit location is very clean and has an attractive courtyard not found in others in their chain. The staff is always friendly and quick. The food is good, particularly salad entrees and most sandwiches. They did put a spin on a classic sandwich, the BLT, that had avocado spread which pretty much ruined it. I suggest asking what comes on the item so you won’t be disappointed. Otherwise, this is a 5 star fast food spot.

Food is average, way overpriced. They pile all the meat in the middle so it looks like a thick sandwich. Do they think we won’t notice the absence of meat on edges? Portions are papthetic.

My granddaughter and I ate lunch! Very good food and service. Loove the atmosphere! One of my favourite songs was playing. Very cool place to dine in! I definitely recommend it.

Women’s restroom was filthy. Trashcan was overflowing, the floors and toilets looked like they had not been cleaned in days. Picked up my to go order and my sandwich was mostly bread and cheese with a couple pieces of pork. Dont recommended at all and would have given negative stars if possible.

Great value for the amount of food you get: a full sandwich with a side included and there is a large selection of sides to choose from, ranging from healthy and light to rich. The kids under 12 meal can’t be beat for price at $1.99.

I got a very bad first impression the first time I went here. I got the Smoky Pepperjack Turkey Sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich quality was okay, but it came with no vegetables at all and was basically just meat and cheese with mustard on bread. The mac and cheese was creamy, but bland and tasteless. I gave a two star review and did not plan to return. After giving that review, the restaurant group contacted me to get more feedback on my experience. They seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and I was given the opportunity to try another meal at McAlister’s.

My second visit was overall a good one. I picked one of the items recommended to me by the customer service rep, the BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato avocado) with a fresh fruit salad side and unsweetened ice tea. The tea was not very good, and the fruit salad was just oddly small pieces of unripened cantaloupe and honeydew melon with one piece of pineapple. Apparently some customers ask for ‘just pineapple’ and the pineapple gets picked out of the fruit salad mixture for those customers leaving just the melon. The sandwich, on the other hand, was fantastic. LOTS of avocado, nice bacon and not too much, fresh vegetables on decent bread with a nice light-handed mayo spread. I noticed on the menu board that normally salt and pepper is added to this sandwich, so I asked them to hold the salt.

Overall, if you know what you’re doing, you can get a very good meal here at a great value. My chief complaints though are that: there are too many very unhealthy items (a piece of cake is 1100+ calories alone), salt is added to many of the sandwiches unnecessarily, too many of the sandwiches don’t come with vegetables at all, the fruit salad melons were unripe and not proportional. This would generally lead me to giving a 3 star review. But due to the stellar customer service both digitally and in-restaurant a 4-star review is warranted. If you have a poor experience or something is wrong, McAlister’s will work with you to make things right and that goes a long way with me.

Soup and salad combo was fairly good but not stellar. My main concern is that the ancient and tiny credit card payment device forced you to tip without even seeing the amount. The employee said it will ask you a question (none appeared in the tiny box). When I said “I don’t see anything” she said use the arrows to pick an amount. It is usually 20, 25 percent etc.”. No option to opt out of tipping someone to take my order and bring it to my table. When I said “how much did I tip you I have no idea? Was it $250 dollars”. Her reply was “oh I wouldn’t let that happen.” If you are making tipping an option you need a tablet sized screen with all information displayed. Ridiculous and ruined my experience.
