I am not sure if I should be leaving a review for this restaurant. I am in no way experienced with Indian food, having had only once before ( it was not a pleasant experience). So – Clay Oven, service is spectacular, the staff greeted me as I walked in the door. He was well dressed and very polite. He was very attentive.
The food – I know nothing of Indian food. However, it was an all-out assault on the taste buds, lol. Though not specified on the menu the meal was served with a Tea, a milky chi l, strong flavored but unlike anything else I had ever had. It also included rice.
I overall they could benefit from a lunch menu, and they are a little high on price, but I enjoyed the experience. Thank you, Clay Oven, for showing me good Indian food
Edit: The second visit was with my youngest son. He has now fallen in love with Indian food. I think i have created an Indian food version of Cookie Monster, lol.

This is THE BEST Indian food I have eaten since living in Brooklyn, NY. The food is lovingly homemade, full of flavor, and served piping hot. The service is amazing- feels like you’re eating dinner at a friend’s house- genuine care! It was so good that we came back the very next night to try more!

This is a great place to get some great Indian food! We were seated really quickly and serviced pretty fast as well. We did have to wait a little for our food to be brought to our table, but with them making the dishes fresh and the restaurant getting busy quickly, it didn’t feel terribly long. We ordered the butter chicken and lamb biryani and both were amazing! If you are someone who cant handle spiciness, i would tread lightly since their mild still had some heat. Can’t wait to try more dishes from here!

Have always wanted to try this place and always forget about it due to its tucked away behind everything location. Finally had the opportunity today. My daughter and I had a Chicken Biryani and a Chicken Tikka Masala along with a Butter Naan. All the food was excellent and just as good as any Indian restaurant in larger cities. The spice levels were perfect and they even gave us free Masala Chai teas to go with our dinner. The service was super friendly and the food came out fast. I see some other comments about the prices but they are on par with many other Indian restaurants that I have been too. Highly recommend this place and I will be back during a future trip to town.

A little pricy but the food was great! Service was amazing and the environment is beautiful. I will come back to try other menu items but I stuck to the generic chicken tikka masala and I enjoyed it. I just wish it was spicier! Super convenient location too!

I come to St.Joe once a week and here’s where I come to eat, Butter Chicken absolutely amazing, Lamb Korma has been my favorite so far along with some garlic or cheese naan. Service is great, food is absolutely delicious and restaurant is really clean. Family owned and operated, I highly recommend this place .

We have been thrice already to this amazing place. The food is just ‘finger licking good’ scrumptious and reminds us of India . The taste is consistent and flavors are so aromatic. We have tried Chicken tikka masala, lamb Roghan Josh, dal Makani and Chicken Kadai, so far. They are all delicious. My family always rates their food a straight 9/10. The service is prompt and they accept ordering through phone and then they serve you once you arrive. So we did not have to wait for the order. It just arrived as soon as we entered. Alas! I really enjoyed the Clay Oven! I was greeted & seated immediately when I walked in. The staff was very friendly & I got a complimentary chai as well! The menu had good options (vegetarian & vegan included) and the food came out quickly. Flavor was excellent and just the right amount of spice. The restaurant is clean & bright and I would definitely come again.
