I have passed this “coffee station” numerous times coming from Pennsylvania to family in Virginia. Finally added it to the stops on the way today. What a friendly, welcoming group of individuals. From the local who gave me ideas on what was good to purchase, to the customer who waited patiently while I navigated the entire menu of options…to August. August I so enjoyed our conversation; you are an awesome young man and have a great place there. The staff was so warm and helpful. I will definitely be stopping more often on my trips. As for the four pastries I took with me. We are still enjoying them, but I can say we are not disappointed. I would love more apple and honey in the scone, in fact with that one I feel you are just a few ingredients from a baklava scone. You can advertise it as the “Boonsboro Baklava Scone”

From out of town staying in Frederick for a work trip. I had been searching for a good coffee shop, and tried a few before finding Solid Werks. Well worth the 30 minute drive. Baristas were so friendly and recommended different drink options. Solid Werks has house made syrups, which is always something I’m searching for. Coffee was so good, and the everything bagel was tasty. Looking forward to my next visit.

Have only been twice as it’s not local to me but if I’m passing thru Boonsboro and they’re open, I try to stop. They have a large selection of daily pastries and food options for breakfast and lunch. The coffee menu has basic options and seasonal offerings. The coffee tastes like coffee and I mean that in a good way – not the overly sweet, cup of milk tinted beige, but actual coffee. Even the drinks you think would be too sweet are made well and compliment the espresso instead of overwhelm it. If you are a true coffee drinker, this place does it well. It does get very hectic inside. It is at most times of the day, completely full. Full waiting area, full line of people waiting for their coffees and full line of people waiting to order. The waits are not terrible, but the space is small. Of course, this is exactly what I wish for small businesses, I just choose to take my coffee to go because of the atmosphere. If you don’t mind noise and tight spaces, they have a lovely couch set up and a small shopping area, a mug wall for those dining in, etc. Very cozy style. All in all, give them a try. Good drinks, support local.

My girlfriend and I went here to buy some fresh-roasted coffee from a local roaster. The cafe was a cool little place in historic Boonsboro, MD. The interior was creative and had some unique items. I was able to try my first, real shot of espresso (I’m getting into making it seriously) and the gentleman there was informative and very helpful with my questions. We tried a couple of lattes and drip coffee as well.
I plan to purchase more of the local fresh coffee there and to stop in when I’m in the area to enjoy the great drinks they make. A great coffee place to enjoy in a great atmosphere with a pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Stonewerks always offers the warmest welcome and friendliest service, out of this world delicious baked goods, perfect lunch options and great drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, somewhere you just want to hangout and spend time whether it’s to get some work done or catch up with friends. Just love this place!

We came to Stone Werks on part of a coffee trip through Maryland, and we were blown away. The pastries were fresh and delicious, the coffee and tea were super fresh and well crafted, and the staff was extremely friendly and happy to make recommendations. I can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend the Goldilocks Pour Over if you like honey, it tastes divine!

Sooooo I kinda REALLY LOVE YOU GUYS!!! If you can’t tell from the multiple photos! The burritos and the bowls are our go-to’s! We mix it up every once in a while because sometimes you just can’t say no to a scone or a cinnamon roll or two! ❤️ But honestly everything is soooooo delicious and you can tell it’s all made with love!!

Latte w/ Oatmilk – $8.27 – Not bad, but that price tag.
Chicken Caesar Wrap w/ Chips – $17.49
Probably the worst wrap I’ve ever had, barely any chicken and it was so dry. Dressing came on the site for a wrap??!? And it was just regular generic Caesar dressing from a packet. For a wrap I expect it to be mixed so every bite is the same, never knew I had to learn how to put dressing on myself. Ended up just sticking it a bowl and eating it as a salad.
Staff were nice and atmosphere was good, but man does the overpriced food need some good work.

What a beautiful surprise to find that August the owner still remembers me after so many years. I was a frequent customer at the bakery back until 2000 when I was working for I was Washington County. Of course, the cakes, cupcakes and bake goods are wonderful, but even more wonderful is to be remembered!
