I’m from out of town and a local suggested Lama restaurant when I asked for a unique family owned spot. Started out with a delicious snack of homemade corn nuts that went so good with a cold beer. The owner and his wife were so kind! Have to love a family owned business that prides themselves on quality food and service. Had one of the best meals of my life with top notch service! The steak and shrimp off menu special with fried rice, fresh avocado, and French fries hit the spot after a long day golfing. Homemade flan was awesome too. If I lived here, I would go all the time!

Excited to go back and try their pork belly. We had steak and pesto noodles and a Peruvian cheeseburger with their signature margarita that didn’t disappoint. Clean, friendly, fast and delicious. Looking forward to being more adventurous next go around.

Excellent place for a good meal. What this place is doing in this location? Google maps will have you park on a non parkable street so head to the back of the building in an office park. Been here several times and always good food. Larger portions than typical.
Salads could be a little bigger. Flan dessert is great

Everything is amazing. Usually I will write a lengthy review about what is good and what is bad. Everything is amazing here. Even the Peruvian corn they give for free at the table.

If you’re anywhere near Mesquite, LAMA is an absolute gem you don’t want to miss. We’ve become loyal clients — the food is consistently incredible.
So far, we’ve tried the Green Pasta with Steak, Peruvian Chaufa Fried Rice, Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos, Tres Ceviches, and the Grilled Octopus — which is my personal favorite. The octopus was perfectly grilled: tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell everything is made fresh to order — nothing frozen, just high-quality ingredients and bold, rich flavors.
The staff is exceptional — warm, welcoming, and passionate about sharing Peruvian cuisine. They take the time to explain the dishes and ensure you feel right at home.
We can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful food and a friendly, authentic atmosphere, LAMA is a must-try. Highly recommended!

We drove down from St George because of the great reviews..
Food tasted fresh and quality. Restaurant was clean. Service was good, and they were very welcoming and friendly. Food came out in a normal time frame and was hot. In my opinion, the food lacked flavor. The ceviche had a lot of flavor, but lacked the spicy kick I am used to with Peruvian ceviche. The steak lomo saltado, and the steak and shrimp “big plate” were both “good”, but pretty mild/lacking in flavor.
Again… “good”, but not great. Would maybe try it again if I lived close, but isn’t worth the trip

I surprised my husband with this restaurant over Valentine’s Day weekend. He is Peruvian, and we don’t live close to good Peruvian dining. LAMA makes everything fresh, so plan on a relaxed dinner experience. We ordered the chicha morada to drink, the anticuchos appetizer, and both the tallarines verdes and the tacu tacu con lomo saltado meals. Everything tasted incredible, and my husband felt much closer to home. We will be coming back for more!!

The food was great. The service was super helpful and friendly. We ordered one of the drinks in the menu, and he brought out a small cup of the other type for us to try. You definitely should try the Peruvian fresca, it was so yummy. We definitely will come back if we are in the area.
