DO NOT LET THE OUTSIDE FOOL YOU. We drove by here two days ago and commented on the appearance of the building by saying it looks like it’s been there a while. Two days later we find ourselves back in Ozark and low and behold eating here. We went with the reviews on Yelp! and not with first impressions. All I can say is I’m glad we did. We got an order of pan fried gyoza that was absolutely delicious and is definitely in our top five we’ve had. I had the Spicy Yaki Udon for my entree and, wow, it was fantastic. There was so much to it other than noodles I could not finish it all. It had chicken, steak as well as shrimp (which were grilled to perfection) in it with carrots, onions and cabbage for the vegetables. The wife actually stopped eating her sashimi, that was fresh and cold, and ate some of my plate. She has never liked Udon before and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The food took a few minutes to arrive at the table but it was well worth the wait. The server was very attentive to our needs and kept our glasses full of tea. We will definitely make the hour drive back down here to share a plate of Udon!

I reviewed this place a few years back and I thought it was good then. Let me tell you last night I was blown away by the improvement this place has made. I didn’t get a picture but we ordered vegetable tempura as a starter and it came out hot and fresh. My favorite item back when I first came here was the yum yum maki and it was just as delicious this time. The Spicy udon noodles were fantastic and I recommend the shrimp for the meat choice. While a little rough on appearance this is definitely a gem.

I NEVER thought I’d see the day where I could get GOOD sushi in Ozark, but BOY! The sushi and food are fantastic! And the waitress we’ve had each visit is a complete joy. If you want some quality Asian cuisine and are looking for some GOOD sushi, PLEASE give this place a visit!

The food is amazing. The staff was friendly. The service was quick. Definitely on our top 3 places to eat at in Alabama. And the menu is picky kid approved 🙂 Pictures are of 2 different meals I’ve had.

Nice clean Japanese get away always kind and friendly salad was fresh with a house dressing always get the chicken teriyaki bowl bowl worth it fresh vegetables meat is perfectly sliced and the egg and rice definitely 10/10

Outstanding sushi! I got the Dragon Roll and four pieces of salmon nigiri. The rice was very good, and toppings sublime. I live 3 minutes away, so I’m sure I’ll be back.

We went for lunch. It was delicious! I had the veggie (or vege?) yakisoba. I could eat that every day! The waitress was super friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere for visiting while dining. They also serve the tea in little cast iron kettles that keep it warm with lemons on the side. I will be back for sure-
