Food and coffees are great. Inside A/C seating, wi-fi ok. Upstairs alfresco seating open covered terrace, to enjoy coffee and a cigarette. — If you can tolerate the DJ Barista playing his music so loud people need to yell at each other to speak with each other or all the flies because of unwashed concrete floor — Go for it.! 🙂 — Enjoy – J

I’m a regular here and usually come to work or relax which is why today’s experience really disappointed me.

I sat on the second floor outdoor area because I get cold easily downstairs. Even though it’s outdoors it’s still part of the restaurant where food and drinks are served. There were a lot of flies so I ate quickly and kept my coffee mostly covered only opening it slightly to pour into my glass (as seen in the photo attached) but still a fly still got into my drink.

I calmly informed the male staff member on the second floor about what happened. I was told that nothing could be done because the coffee was already on my table. This made me feel like once food or drinks are served whatever happens after is no longer their concern even though it was still within the restaurant premises.

I then went downstairs and spoke to the female staff members. They offered to replace the drink which I appreciated but I respectfully declined because the experience had already left me feeling uncomfortable and interrupted my work.

I really love the coffee here but the way I was treated wasn’t good and because of this I’ve decided I won’t be coming back. I can’t stay in a place where it feels like customers are blamed when service issues happen.

This experience also raised health and safety concerns for me since flies can carry bacteria and were around food and drinks in the premises.

The Daily Grind (TDG) Cafe offers two options: an indoor air-conditioned cafe on the ground floor and an outdoor open-area on the second floor. I ordered an Oreo Coffee, which was sweet and good. While it’s a non-smoking area, we noticed some customers smoking upstairs. Despite this, the ambiance and service were excellent, making it a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy a coffee.

The coffee at The Daily Grind is really good, smooth and flavorful, and definitely something I’d come back for. It’s a nice place to chill or catch up with friends.

Keep in mind that the second floor an alfresco area, which also serves as the smoking section. It’s quite covered with a plastic sheet, so the cigarette smoke just stays trapped in the space. It gets a bit uncomfortable, especially if you’re a non-smoker, since the area doesn’t have proper ventilation.

Overall, I’d still recommend the coffee, but I hope they improve the setup upstairs to make it more comfortable for everyone.

A good place to chill and work. Affordable, clean and has beautiful interior. They have 2hrs free internet connection but I guess you can have longer net connection as long as you keep ordering. I would recommend the Thai rice dish (the picture below) It tastes so amazing. I love the muffin and my drink to.
