Unassuming Italian chain eatery turning out pizzas, pastas & sandwiches, plus desserts.

We had a great experience at Bearno’s Pizza. The service was fast, and the waitress even split our salad in separate bowls since we told her we were sharing it. (We didn’t even have to ask) The Mama Bearno’s is our favorite, and it has almost everything on it. The crust is crispy, and you can really taste all of the toppings. The sauce is delicious, and they add plenty of cheese to top it all off. While we didn’t get any bread or cheese sticks this visit, we have in the past and always enjoy them. Our food was fresh and hot when it was brought to the table. Bearno’s has other dishes like lasagna and sandwiches, too. It is a great place for lunch or dinner. If you decide to give Bearno’s a try, go to their website and print off the coupons. You won’t be disappointed.

I am a pizza guy. We tried Bearno’s for the first time this month mainly because of the lack of good pizza joints in Eastwood. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Mama Bearno’s. The ingredients I’ll give 5-star rating. Plenty of sausage, pepperoni, diced onion, green peppers and black/green olives. The mozzarella was savory and of good quality. The sauce was adequate quantity maybe a tad more given a heaping of toppings. Oven time was very good with browned mozzarella and bottom crust.
The problem is the crust. In my opinion it is equivalent to frozen pizza crust. It may be delivered frozen to the store by corporate because it has tiny pin holes all over it. Plus the crust is a bit thick. This knocks the overall rating down to a 2-star.
If you are looking for good hand tossed pizza, this ain’t it. If you want a saltine cracker crust loaded with toppings this is your pie!

We were very excited to order a heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day. My husband made the grueling drive out Shelbyville Road on a Friday evening, just for this unusual treat. What a disappointment! Not only was the pizza FAR from heart-shaped, but it was gummy, greasy, and totally disappointing! I’ve had better pizza from a school cafeteria! So sad!

Have ordered a light cheese double pepperoni pizza from here a few times and once had a great experience. But every order since has been almost a malicious amount of cheese despite specifying in two different places that I wanted light cheese. And when I ask for extra pepperoni I expect more than a few pieces per slice.

Not worth it, $22 dollars for one 10″ pizza that takes 20 min+ to bake tasting the same as a $8 dollar pizza from Domino’s.

For MANY years I have loved a good Bearnos pizza and especially like the crispy breadsticks with the sesame and poppy seeds. However, it is difficult to get a consistent product from them. When they are good, they are our favorite. We expect fresh ingredients with a properly crisp not overcooked crust.
Unfortunately, we often have to additionally cook our food once we get it home because of “doughy” and undercooked crust, the breadsticks I love sometimes have barely any “seeds” and sometimes way too many. There are also times our order has been overcooked and dried out.
I’m typically not upset about the inaccuracy with given delivery times but I know to always expect longer than projected. We can obviously buy sub par, less expensive pizza at chain restaurants. We want to support our local businesses. We expect to pay more for a better product and expect the product to be consistent. It’s difficult to pay more for a product that has become like a roulette to order…

I have really tried to support the Middletown Bearnos Pizza. I like supporting local restaurants but can’t go to this one anymore. I totally concur with the Jennifer review below because you NEVER get any pizza that is consistently good. I mentioned to the person answering the phone that my last two pizzas were bad and he said they’d make sure this one was good. IT WAS NOT. The crust was burnt. Not kind of burnt but all the way burnt. I ordered this pizza at 4:01 Sunday July 6th, 2025 under the name Connor if they want to look it up. I am not going back because if THEY don’t care about their pizza why should I. There are at least twelve other pizza places within a one mile radius, don’t waste your money at Bearnos.

Ordered delivery tonight. We contemplated even ordering Bearnos, as last time we weren’t impressed. Quoted 1 hour delivery, received in 1 hour 45 minutes. Pizza overcooked and dry, sandwich order wrong. Called the store to check on delivery around 1 hour 20 minutes, were told driver just left and we were the first stop. It takes about 8 minutes to get to our house from Bearnos, assuming average traffic, but it took the driver at least 25 minutes. That said, the driver was polite.
