Tian Yuen Restaurant

  4.6 – 337 reviews   • Pan-Asian restaurant

Ming Cheng Kuo and Mei Jung Shih opened KS Tian Yuen Restaurant in 2007 after discovering the beauty of Cloverdale on a drive through northern Sonoma County. They were drawn to the Mayacamas Mountains, the lush vineyards, and the Russian River flowing through the quiet valley. With all the passions and loves, now they opened another KS Tian Yuen in Windsor. In Taiwan, their home and the crossroads of many cultures, they learned to know the flavors and fragrances of diverse Asian cuisines. They became experts in creating the foods of Taiwan, Thailand, China, Japan, and Vietnam. Mei has brought the peace and stillness of Cloverdale and Windsor into KS Tian Yuen, along with the Asian ambiance.

Tasty food and large portions. Very reasonable prices and quick service. Clean toilets. Well worth dining here if your staying in Cloverdale. Right on the Main Street. Main course was $13.
Having finished our month long trip around the US ive concluded this was the best value for money meal we had on the whole trip and at a very keen price. Cloverdale seemed a nice little town to stay in overnight at the local Motel and felt safe to walk around in the dark during the evening.

Me and my family were at a Thai restaurant earlier that my girlfriend wanted to try. The cup was dirty and some back stuff came out of it on a napkin. I found this place on Google and we decided to come here instead. Instantly, the atmosphere was so beautiful, great feeling, cups were CLEAN, clean feeling dishes, the prices were so affordable. Overall experience with the food. In my words EXCELLENT!. You can hear it from other customers around at another table compliment the place on their food, asking what specials will be offered and much more. Great experience, highly recommended

I come here with my family and friends frequently, and for good reason; the place is great! The food, for starters is delicious, not the best I’ve ever had, but delicious for the price nonetheless. But the real reason that I love coming here is the service! The waiters and waitresses remember and greet you with open arms. This gives a homey feel that is hard to match in other places in the area. I only knock off a star because the food is slightly inconsistent in quality, such as the contents of their “Seafood Mix”. In conclusion, if you want some good, cheap sushi and Thai food, and you are looking for a pleasant evening with friends and staff alike, come here.

My husband and I go here often. This family owned restaurant is a charm. The owners and all the workers always greet you when you arrive and they all say goodbye to you as you leave. Makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. The food is amazing. Love the shrimp cakes and dragon roll.

Beautiful, clean, and friendly. The tiniest details make the difference. Even the water is cucumber infused.

We stopped for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Delicious and flavorful with a wide selection of dishes.

Did I not eat the same place as everyone else? Were they being ironic when referring to food as Vietnamese? I’ve eaten at some pretty bad places but this by far the worst. The bean sprouts were visibly old and the peanut sauce came straight up burnt out of the microwave. Also, sweet and sour sauce with Chả giò (what this place called a Vietnamese spring roll)??? The chicken in the chicken soup had an old look, color, and texture. Was this even really chicken? Last I checked chicken is supposed to be slimy and chewy.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering sashimi from this place. I got the 21pcs sashimi yesterday to go and some of the white fish smelt bad and texture was mushy, it was very off putting. I usually love raw fish but this was hard to stomach. The tuna was tough and the salmon stained the rest of the fish with artificial pink dye. It just seemed like cheap fish. I didn’t end up getting food poisoning though so it couldn’t have been that bad.

The staff seemed friendly but there was two servers trying to take our orders the whole time and kept getting it wrong. It was frustrating when the server asked if we wanted to order and blatantly ignored the food I asked for and looked at my fiance asking him if he wanted anything. The food was pricey for pigeon scraps and I didn’t even get my order. My fiance hated his food as well. They also didn’t give us any utensils when they brought out his food. Maybe they were having a bad day but the whole thing was a bad experience.
